Fuel injection cleaner.
Discussion
The greatest thing since sliced bread or snake oil?
I was down the rabbit hole that is YouTube when I came upon some bike owners trying injection cleaner.
I’ve read a bit about it in cars (with pretty poor results) but not much on bikes. My thoughts are with a bike being generally more lighter and responsive to the throttle if there is any difference made it should be more noticeable on a bike than a car.
Had anyone had any personal experience either positive, negative or neutral?
I’m not leaning either way but just curious and wondering if any of you lot have tried it.
I've not tried it, BUT I'm inclined to consider it snake oil unless you're actually having injector issues. If you've got an older or higher miles fuel injected bike then I'm sure having the injectors professionally cleaned would free up a few horses and make it run a bit cleaner, but some fuel injector cleaner additive in the fuel probably won't do much really. My experience of fuel additives of that type are that they're usually a first attempt to fix something which ultimately ends up needing a "proper" fix.
Just my 2p, others might have different experiences!

I restored a V12 jaguar engine a couple of years ago and a few of the injectors had stopped working , took them out of the manifold and wired each injector in turn so I could energise each one on/off several times , fitted a short rubber hose to the top of each injector in turn and filled the tube with brake fluid, energised each injector several times untill brake fluid leaked out of injector nozzle.........worked fine

Never heard of it done with brake fluid before!I bought a Hayabusa that hadn't run for many years and sent the injectors away to be done properly; three out of four were fubar so I ended up buying a second hand set off ebay.
I can't remember the name of the company now but they were very nice and most apologetic that they couldn't get any result however when I told them how long the bike had been sitting they gave me the verbal equivalent of shaking their head and tutting; their opinion was that an injector that hadn't been used for more than 5-6 years was probably goosed and not worth working on.
