Starting to feel sorry for the old Jazz, haven’t cleaned it in ages and it just deals with everything I throw at it with no fuss whatsoever.

Needs a clean. Did the lights and plates yesterday, as funnily won't be getting one for a week or so!

Silver really does hide the dirt biggrin

That's my limit when it's freezing temps - I really don't want to soak a car with water and have any of it left potentially freeze in hidden places

Not so much a dirty car issue, but one of the current freezing weather.

Pulled out onto the main road, into sun this morning and decided to wash the windscreen. Upon doing so, the wipers smeared the screenwash across the windscreen which, despite being rated for -5C, instantly froze, causing my windscreen to turn to sheet ice at 40mph.

A slightly arse-clenching moment, hazards on and managed to bring it down to walking pace, via the smallest clear gap in one corner, pulled into a side entrance. Never had to de-ice a windscreen AFTER setting off before.
This happened to me the other day. Was on the way to the garage to see what’s up with my car making a rattle and had to pull over to scrape it. Did that, got to the junction and a van flashed me out as I was turning right. Look left as I get to the middle of the road and the window had steamed back up. Window wouldn’t go down as it was still frozen at the base. Managed to make out headlights and despite the van still flashing me out, thankfully waited and made my own decision. Sure enough another van was flying along and if I had pulled out would’ve been a passenger door fender bender. I guess it would’ve solved my rattle by totally demolishing my car nono

Looks crap and boring when clean, and crap and boring when dirty. Win! hehe

Agreed. If we had automated machines where you could have the underside of the car rinsed I'd do it, but I've yet to find one.

VW Transporter Vs the A9 and Bear Scotland chucking about 49,000 tons of salt down over the past 48hrs. Also being a Transporter, fully expect to wake up tomorrow to a pile of glass, plastic, fabric and rubber...

I capitulated and washed the car on Saturday, mainly because you couldn’t walk past it without having to dry clean your coat.

It’s done 60 miles since then.

It’ll get washed in spring, there is no point at the moment.

The new AT tyres have been epic in the snow, best £420 I’ve spent in a while

At least rinse the salt off with cold water!

Question: Why does on model have small quad pipes and the other, large twins?

Off topic (so I'll keep it short) but not quite...

Gen 1... the V8 got four small round and the V10 got 2 large oval

Then the limited edition GT came out with 2 large circle

When the Gen 1.5 came out it stuck with four small round for the V8 and the V10 got the GT's 2 large circle rather than the 2 large oval

Then, shortly after, I think the V8 went to the 2 large circle too.

For the Gen 2.. no V8 and totally different design.

In summary:
Four small = V8
Two large oval = V10
Two large circle = V8 or V10 (so look at the side blades instead.. narrow = V8 and extended = V10

Hope that helps!

Cleaned mine the next day... it took bloody ages! I have to get the car mint every time so I can put it back in the garage and put the stretch cover on without it scratching (plus, I'm a massive fusspot laugh )

Recently swapped my car, this colour doesn’t seem to show up the muck. Got stuck behind a gritter this afternoon, not much of a mess to show for it!
