Anytips for getting the salt from underneath - I have a Vanq with front and rear subframes sitting above undertrays, that corrode for fun even with Hard Hat and Bilt Hamber.

Aside from the jet wash, is there anything people use specifically to get the salt off - like a specific spray or foam? I am trying to balance driving it with keeping it clean. Not driving can lead to a whole host of other problems.

Or am I over thinking it and just drive and just show the jet wash into tray gaps it and enjoy ?

I sprayed the M4 with ACF40 underneath and at the weekends give it a good wash underneath, but it's a car and it's meant to be driven in all weathers, salt "MEH" it's never affected the value of any car I have sold.

I used to drive my Escort Cossy in all weathers.

I should probably consider a 4x4 for my next car after almost getting a little unstuck today.

Those look like summer tyres, in which case a set of M+S tyres might get you out of a fix.

They absolutely are. I'll be honest, this was unexpected and taking the Passat 'offroading' isn't a regular thing for me.

Usually I'm running a set of Michelin CC2s this time of year, but given my old set are worn out and I'm planning on getting rid of the car in a few months, it didn't make sense on buying a new set just for this winter.

I once went to a car meet in the range rover and almost got stuck in a boggy field. I had Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres,
too. Thankfully, a little gentle rocking and in low range mode on the gearbox soared my blushes, but I'd be lying if I hadn't experienced a little sphincter clenching!

Yes it’s somewhat undersized but there’s not a lot of vertical space to accommodate anything larger.
