1.05 - yes, other driver is wrong, but why accelerate hard to try to run other guy into oncoming cars?

Another DCW who cannot back down even at the risk of killing or injuring someone.
Good spotting natural action from some, but why do idiots pull overtakes like that.
The camera car was sitting at a green light for quite a while - we start the clip with it fully green (not just red-amber change). Not saying it was a good overtake, but if the camera car hadn't sped up to block him it would've been fine.
Looking at the road markings the overtake was in the turn right only lane and shouldn't have been trying to overtake at all.

That's an advisory marking. If there was a broken down vehicle would you be obligated to turn right? Of course not.

The location is here - Old Road, Oxford

It's worth noting that a similar looking junction previously encountered on the inner ring road has the opposite markings outside the JR.

Driver is either a bit impatient or got confused. Cammer, who seems to have made a slow response to the green light and starts moving glacially, then forces overtaker into oncoming traffic. Looks quite deliberate to me.

Also absolutely terrible cycle lane in that junction too, I suppose the saving grace is you're close to A&E...

Actually shows as taxed and tested, although the whole vehicle looks about as legit as a Qatari World Cup bid.

Most odd, dont see them on other junctions along that road, or do you?

Irrespective of road markings the camera car made the near miss happen, could even have continued to accelerate at the same rate and all would have been well, everyone getting on with their lives. Need a bit of give and take on the roads, leave the ego at home.

If you're going to try and pull st like that you need to be completely confident you're going to smash past the dawdler and get in with plenty of space, if you're not going to commit to doing it properly then don't do it at all.

Given how slow the DCW was the overtaker must have been a complete nipple to fk it up. Funny how the DCW finally found the loud pedal when he felt his manhood to be challenged, the roads are full of these knob ends.

TBF if I wanted to leave my house and found that the local busybodies and flag shaggers had closed off the road for some fkery or another I'd just drive straight through it to if things were clear. On the road though, not the pavement.

Quite possible that the closure order was "except for access" in any case.

I'd guess that one is a Golf R drivetrain (maybe from a Mk6?) swapped into a non-R shell, maybe also swap manual to DSG (or visa-versa).

Changed both axles, suspension, engine, and gearbox
