I dont drive out of Cornwall much.....But last month had to drive up to Gatwick. The amount of middle lane hoggers was astounding. (M27). Pootling along at 65-70 ish....
You should try the "new" 4 lane motorways with no hard shoulder. The old middle lane hoggers are now chuntering along in lane 3 of 4.
At least it's safer to undertake them in lane 1 now as you have lane 2 as a buffer.
M40 lane 1 to Wycombe is pure Ogmios. Let the thrusters get on with thrusting and make progress smile

Oh good lord the M4 stretch after Reading they've turned to four lanes. I swear it was faster as a three lane road, L2, L3, and L4 are just full of 64MPH tts.

I undertake cars hundreds at a time just by staying in L1, but you have to be a bit strategic about the odd HGV that actually makes it's way back to the correct lane.

Uk exposed dashcams. That first one the sigh at the end. Only if they hadn’t been so impatient.

Probably a light sentence really, not sure what went on before the footage, but from the report, and the video I'm guessing old man Kadjar driver took exception to biker filtering, words exchanged, then a "mirror slap", then this act of lunacy.

What game is this ? hehe I hope I can still drive that good when I get to pensioner age hehe . Clearly something gone on before the footage started, but including that wouldn't generate enough viewer outrage with calls for all pensioners to be banned from driving, lock him up for life and throw away the key, frothing.

Apparently not, just out of shot the biker slaps his mirror for swerving at him when he's filtering, then the red mist descends

Maybe. I find it unlikely that the OAP just randomly swerved at him for riding down those wide chevrons. I've seen so many of these carefully edited videos now where another road user suddenly goes mental at the filmer for apparently no reason at all jester. In the rare cases where we get both sides of the story, there is always something cut from the earlier footage which lead up to it - usually the filmer deliberately fking about to provoke a reaction so that s/he can get their 2 minutes of glory on youtube. That may not be the case and he could just be an OAP mentalist but I'd have a small wager on 'no smoke without fire' in this case.

Police usually release the whole thing, in this case that's all of it. No chance the camera guy got to edit it as it was seized

I dont know either if there was anything previous to cause this, but I definitely do not find it unlikely that a car driver might swerve towards a biker for no other reason than they were unhappy about being overtaken.
This st happens and I have had it done to me in the past...admittedly it was rare but it did happen.

Same here, had it happen a few times, I just assume they're Karens with nothing better to do

Yep, rare but happened to me on motorbikes; happens now on pushbikes, although that's a push (or clearly deliberate block) to the kerb instead.

Young biker lad could have been much more creative in getting away though.

Yes I thought that too, he didn't even use the major advantage a bike like that has over a car.

It's surprising just how many people think it is illegal to filter. It's more surprising how many people turn into some sort of self-appointed trafpol Judge Dredd when they see someone filtering.

It can be funny seeing someone try to baulk a filtering bike, only for you to make extra room to allow it. No skin off my nose just so long as people who filter get a twist on when the light turns green, which is most people on anything 125cc and above.

Love this but heartbreaking that the tracky wearing parasite wasn’t badly injured. Hopefully his dirt bike provides him with a life changer in the future.

I suspect he was caught unawares! I hated doing any sort of group ride as some riders do crap like that and it's only a matter of time before they do it to the wrong person.

Guy must have been pretty senile, to act in that manner AND incriminate yourself with your own dash cam footage lol. 8 months sentence seems like a bit of a joke.

If I were the biker I think I’d try to quickly stop and get off somewhere inaccessible to the car, doubt the old duffer would have been as brave outside of the car.

Exactly, turn yourself back into a person, not a ‘motorbike’. For 99% of driving related anger all that has to happen is for those involved to remember it’s not a car, it’s not a lorry, its not a motorbike, it’s a person. Just ‘rehumanise’ it and most people come out of their angry trance.

I wonder what words they exchanged after the collision, a shame we don't get to hear them - could have been a classic Ronnie Pickering moment.

Do we genuinely know if the lad on the bike did anything to provoke the old boy? Other than trying to pass him on a loud bike (which is clearly Grade-A antisocial behaviour and he should have received an ASBO while being paraded through town then strung up in the stocks)?
