Until they are making more cars than they have punters and are discounting again

Wasn't there a thread on here recently where a chap got caught doing this and is now banned from new LR products or something?
A positive outcome actually

Well I got my new Defender. It’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve been offered £20 k before the negotiations above what I paid. Let me reiterate I am not selling it as we think it’s ace however I would if it came to it punt it round several franchised dealers and independents and would give my dealer the opportunity to match the price. Another thing for me is the dealer has been fantastic and price fixed the price when ordered in November 2021. The list price on my car was nearly £15k more when I collected it than I paid.

I would happily sell it to Marshalls as they have been more than fair and fantastically honest from our first interaction with them.

Most salesmen don’t know their arse from their elbow so I find that highly unlikely.

Yes, not one to lose sleep over.

Despite LR popularity, I don’t think they can afford to have Ferrari-esq antics.

I think it's this thread in SP&L - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

OP clearly went back through the thread, once responses didn't go their way, and deleted their opening post and subsequent ones, but forgot about the fact that nearly all of them were already quoted by other posters anyway hehe

How will they know that you no longer own your own property?

I'd be interested to know if they can prove a fine received by the manufacturer.

In addition an unfair contract.

They have no interest in the vehicle once sold.

It's about them wanting to soak up resale/stock...
The manufacturers do care about where their car goes. For years manufacturers have tried to stop independents selling nearly new cars as it is seen to devalue their product. It is not uncommon for them to trace where the car has come from and fine the dealers and block the buyers.

As a company we accidentally sold a brand new BMW that went for export to Ireland. The Irish importer kicked off as the car was undercutting them and BMW UK fined the dealer in the UK.
