No I’m not saying that specific example has been clocked, I would have no idea. I simply struggle to believe there are so many mint cars that come all the way here for a premium without issue.

There is a thread somewhere with a chap tracking his E-class coupe (I think it was), which was exported having been “mileage adjusted” between his parting with it and a fresh advert. It is a thing.
Agreed wouldn't trust that at all. I actually prefer high mileage cars for the honesty.

Unless it's one fastidious owner with lots of verifiable history then assume it's done 130k.

I get the impression that the typical Japanese barge owner is a very proper person indeed. Not a man to leave a pollen filter in place for nine years, lest he bring disgrace to the spiritual door of his forefathers.

Whereas Jersey Barger is more likely a effete dodgy accountant or a fackin-fackin Cockney gangster with a frankly slapdash attitude to allergen control.
While not a barge my 2000 Honda Insight imported after more than 10 years in Japan had never had its pollen filter changed.

TBF the guy had been charged a couple of times for the work, it just hadn't been carried out.

I'm sure you have reached the same obvious conclusion as me.

Your Japanese Insight was the intimidating and sinister personal whip of a fackin-fackin Cockney gangster (lavely mo'ah) on secondment to the Yakuza.

The Fakuza.

I mean, how ruinous can a 5.2l V10 estate car actually be? scratchchin
Struggling to think of a more ruinous car, W12 Touareg maybe.
Higher than a (n RS) 6?

It's on gravel, in front of a nice house. It'll be fine.

That's how it works, isn't it?

Potentially E60 M5? If we aren't talking Ferrari etc.

Very nice indeed.

Whatever terrible fate befell the Bristol styling team shortly after they did this car was an awful shame.

I say 'team'. I mean 'bloke'.

Very elegant. And it's got some poke, too.

I'm fond of Bristols, but a pity that some are so ugly.

Well unfortunately I don't know from experience (or maybe fortunately) but I would say so.

Isn't the V10 a nightmare to work on.

They made a good point. I recently had to leave the classic m forum as I found the amount of mileage blockers in use was rife.

Spank the car for 20,000 miles between mot but car only records 2k

I’d take a well looked after honest high miler over a st box

My point is that there's no suggestion that's a st box, there are some crap cars out there, but do a proper inspection and it's not hard

I’m finding the idea of this Cayenne Turbo really exciting I clearly have a mental condition of some kind.

I could park it in the garage next to my 124 cabrio purchased on a whim thanks to this thread. I probably should get rid of that before I buy a broken cayenne.
Deal, I'll have your 124 cab, you can have my Blackpool Illuminations dash Cayenne (sold as seen) and we are done.

Is it gold?
It’s white gold over blue.

Sold as seen? No deal. I want a warranty.

No problemo, I will give you a warranty, although it's one that I have written up and guarantee's only the functioning of the warning system in the dashboard.

I 100000% warranty that this will function, for ever and ever, I think it still bongs when you take the battery out (or that might be me hallucinating)

re this 124, has she got any warning lights? If not, and if it's got four wheels and a roof, I am in.

Where do I sign?

Ha ha love it.

I obviously wouldn’t swap my 124 for it but would be interested in a straight purchase if you decide not to keep it. I can’t see how to send you a message though.

I’ve been paying for the top level of AA cover for about four years and drive some really iffy cars about that refuse to break. It would be nice to finally get my money’s worth out of them.
