That used to be the case here, the place was a bit random, always entertaining and really fast-moving. Then some heavy-handed 'stay on topic' warnings started, followed by the banning of some thread regulars. That started the grumbling about moderation which was itself heavily moderated and that was the beginning of the end really; 1-5 has been on life support ever since. Frankly, it is all the more entertaining for it.

So...I don't think I have seen one of these cheaper...
Let's pretend you haggle them down to £5k...
It is not going to be perfect, but with 11 months MOT could you possibly lose out? If the engine were to blow up, you could just part it out and if it fails the next MOT, you surely could just sell as is, for pretty near the price you paid?

I was going to mock, but you make a compelling case. Decent mot, high value in parts... lots to like. Let's pretend you haggle them down to £5k...

Agreed. If you were handy you'd probably keep costs really low. Even if you weren't I bet you'd recoup your investment if you had the time or inclination to break it. Or trust in Greater Fool theory and sell when it all got too distressing. Enjoy/ fiddle for 11 months.
