I am so very tempted by one of these. More than four cylinders powered by the correct fuel, within thread budget and not silver, black or grey.

That looks bloody lovely. Our former threadist r129 had a lovely one of these in green and it looked like a fabulous way to travel.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404214430385?hash=item5...
Being sat on a gravel driveway with some Vivaldi playing in the background would be far more suitable.

Never found them an issue on a barge - over the years I've run them on loads of Senators/Carltons in both Heather-mills-matics and Spanish waiters as well as BMW 740 E38
Small car like a horrid little hatchback with an asthmatic four pot of a soul destroying capacity - 100% agree - absofkinglutely lethal
Not all P6000's are alike. They were original fitment on the XJ and were designed by Pirelli specifically for Jaguar. They had a J stamped on the sidewall. They were of a different construction to non J stamped tyres.Small car like a horrid little hatchback with an asthmatic four pot of a soul destroying capacity - 100% agree - absofkinglutely lethal

It's a parts car in that state sadly.
Are there even any good parts to make it worthwhile? Engine and gearbox aside it's a complete mess.If anyone has similar humour to me - check out the boot carpet on this possible future barge.

It does have a panoramic roof, so that’s £2k there. At £2.7k for the rest, it will still make money as a parts donor, or if you haven’t got the stomach to have the hulk hanging around while you break it (I wouldn’t) just flip it straight out - at £2.7k and that mileage there’s bound to be a punter.
I wasn't sure at first glance but in any case it has the wrong interior colour for mine.RUI488 said:

An attempt to inject some life into the thread - I certainly don't want to see it grind to a holt!
An incredibly early Sunderland built Nissan Bluebird. These really are a pleasure to drive for such an old car. My mother always said my grandads' really did feel like a "big posh executive car" back in the day.

Have great memories of a teacher at my school driving a blue Bluebird in the early 00’s. An incredibly early Sunderland built Nissan Bluebird. Our family had a dark blue in the early nineties. It was a revelation that the sunroof could slide open and not just latch like in the Ladas. We would stick our heads through it at some speed. I am not sure what the adults were thinking letting us do it
The main reason I love sunroof equipped vehicles to this day are the great times I had stood through an open one on the centre arm rest whilst at air shows. Go back to the car for some lunch (dad’s a Yorkshireman, there was zero chance he was paying ‘show prices’ for some grub…) and still get to see the show from the car.
In other news, I’ve decided to sell the V70.
May well live to regret it as it’s one of the very best cars I’ve ever owned but it’s a ten year old four cylinder modern diesel with 150k+ miles on it.
You’d never know driving it and the service record is impeccable but a working life spent on said modern diesels puts me off them.
Placed a deposit on its replacement, which I’m not even going to attempt to qualify as a barge; 2008 Mazda 6, manual 2.5 petrol.
Hoping it’s as ‘boring’ and so cheap to run as I’m expecting!
