It's an absolutely brilliant end result so full credit to the owner and to LB.

They're most definitely not a dog to drive. Everyone that comes for a ride in mine remarks on how good the ride is, and it has quite easily shown a clean set of heals to many more expensive performance cars both on and off the track. And the noise is something else!!
There's a good Autocar (I think) video of an LB from a few years back, which is very favourable to how it drives.

Great PH Video, but, what's missing for me is a more in depth assessment on how this one drives, maybe a gentle track test would have been nice to see, otherwise absolutely 10/10.

It’s just great. There are replicas and there are replicas. With an Alfa V6 (yes I know the original was a Dino V6 but this is near enough as opposed to say a turbo 4 in there) and that level of accuracy elsewhere, this IS a Stratos, just not technically a Lancia Stratos. Looks great. Have fun!

Stellantis isn't doing anything with the Lancia brand. The company should licence the name to Lister Bell.

Shame he bought the absolute cheapest nastiest 1:18 of the Alitalia Stratos... (And not the Kyosho) smile

Absolutely fabulous and a gorgeous sound!

Just out of curiosity I wonder how much that has cost... is it obtainable to us mere mortals or is it a lottery, if not a Euro lottery, win...?

One can only dream...

Can't speak for that turnkey build but I think you can self build for £50-80k and have something similar depending on your spec and what you do.

The attention to detail that has put into Jim's car is amazing. Having seen it in the flesh a few times I can tell you it looks even better than in the video.

I've just finished building my own LB STR but I didn't go full rally rep like Jim.

I prefer that to the rally replica

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Unless you are my wife in which case I could tell you and then you might kill me!! biggrin

But seriously, no need to win the lottery. The real issue for anybody wanting one is a huge imbalance of supply and demand.

Sorry it had to be 1 down as I cannot buy 1, but would give it a *KISS* wherever the meeting. I fortunately remember in the forests of Wales on 1 rally. I would rate that exhaust/sound up with the BOSS! Long live our lucky days(for now)smile

What a gorgeous car - absolutely perfect!

Love the down to earth and true petrolhead enthusiasm of the owner too - "we fitted performance cams just to get the lumpy idle like a rally car" - well played sir!
