I've become bored of cars.

Have you ever encountered Sideways Si when you have been there?
I imagine that his presence and his humour would massively mitigate the pain endured so if I do end up in a dungeon I hope I can share it with him, providing no prawns in plastic trays are on the menu, as that would be a step too far.

Balancing pleasure and pain is far harder than balancing a drift against the lockstops... Or walking the plank whilst sipping a glass of wine.

Probably OP does not understand how to drive a rear wheel torque car. Select your M button to choose: Sport for engine, Sport + for suspension, comfort for steering and choose 3 for the DCT gear change. Hold your nerve, brake late or let off accelerator slightly when approaching a bend, and place the wheel at the Apex of the bend, accelerate gently out of the Apex and the bend, pay attention to the sound and the grip of the wheels, feel the magic of M differential, feel the sensation of being pushed out.
You would appreciate you have one hell of a car
It won’t be as nimble as a smaller, but you would still enjoy it
Lamedon seems to have forgotten that public roads are for transport, not sport. You would appreciate you have one hell of a car

If you want to experience your M button then do it on a track at the weekends.
Most of us have learned that to share the roads with all ages and experiences of driver, all size of vehicle, all competencies (and incompetencies) you just need to waft along. A mass-produced automatic 90bhp is fine for this.

I'd go from being very interested in cars...to being completely bored of cars if I was driving a mass produced automatic car with 90bhp. I reckon that I'd prefer Steve's prawns and cheap wine instead to be fair! If you want to experience your M button then do it on a track at the weekends.

Or if I can get directions to the dungeon with Si and Nick then even better!

You sure about that?90bhp is ten times the power my single cylinder diesel makes.

I just whatsapped them to you Lee. They have just taken delivery of a high revving low torque hoist for demanding customers like you. It apparently also emulates the noise of a S65 4.0 engine for the perfect aural experience.nickfrog said:

The assumption is that you have to break the speed limit to enjoy the above. You don't have to my friend, to enjoy these cars. You should be sensible to know the suitable time (Sunday mornings) and place, non residential areas and never step onto the oncoming lane. If you want to experience your M button then do it on a track at the weekends.

I'm tempted to pick up a new M4 having for bored waiting for a 911 and realising that the lack of practicality of the 911 will have me drive it rarely.
I do however think the M4 is too much for the road and the way I mainly drive but it has always been something I want to do and I want a "special" car.
However I do feel almost forced towards the M4 and other equivalents as there is so much boring new car out there now. Partly I'm becoming a boring middle aged moan and partly cos I feel modern car design is naff. Then to leave myself in purgatory I'm always nervous of an old car as I like modern tech and hassle free cars with a guarantee

My only concern with that is that it's that bit smaller and therefore a bit cramped in the back for the kids. The same thing that puts me off the 911, plus the fact it's a fair bit more expensive than both. I don't doubt that it's a more fun car given its lighter.
Went for a midnight run down some local roads. It was a bit moist but I found some roads that could be described as a proverbial "rip roaring rollercoaster ride of a road." (Copyright (c) 1997 Car Magazine!)
Driving can still be fun. I was in the nice car but I've driven these roads in boring cars and it's still fun.

Well, it just detracts from the focus of the conversation. You can check my profile if you're really bothered about the car I was driving last night.
