With all due respect and no malice, John is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people that’s been involved in Subaru scene since the early days, not to mention motorsport in general. An all round good-egg, You are way off the mark in your analysis smile
Thanks trails, I'm baffled by this chap. laugh

Regrettably one individual has made it clear that he didn't, so the final part I'd planned to post won't be forthcoming. My apologies.
I don't know how people will cope.

You should read back your posts, it oddball stuff.
ENOUGH! Please give it a rest you two, you're spoiling the thread for others.

It would be great to see a full thread of your (mis) adventure, I’m sure many on PH would enjoy reading it and it’s conclusion beer
That is my understanding too even going way back 20 years or so ish when I had about 10 years of one Impreza after another! SD is having a "mad moment" for sure.

Thanks, no malice taken whatsoever smile

Pro level flounce ? Nah smile Plenty of individuals seemed to appreciate what I'd posted, irrespective of whether it took the thread off track or not, but John clearly took exception to it, hence my removing those posts.

Start a separate thread on the WRC car ? It was over ten years ago now, and the theft of the 22B UK off my drive was a pretty unpleasant and unnerving experience (they broke into the house whilst I was asleep) Regrettably something similar happened last Sunday evening, when my BMW daily driver was stolen off the drive, but this time rather than wait until I'd turned in for the night, they crept into the kitchen through the open patio door whilst I was in the lounge (which adjoins the kitchen) and the door between the two was open ... This whilst I was chatting with a mate on the phone. They took the keys and made off with the car. It had huge sentimental value (for reasons I won't bore you with) so to say I'm absolutely gutted would be an understatement. C'est la vie.

The point of my previous posts was solely to dispel the notion that the P25's underpinnings are close to those of an S5 or 6 WRC car. I've numerous detail images of the S5 WRC car's running gear and it's a long way removed from the P25 on the basis of what we've been told, the image taken of the rear suspension at the FoS earlier in this thread and from what DL said in his interview with Henry Catchpole.

FWiW, I have no issue with the P25's price, with only 25 units to amortise the development and tooling costs across, it was never going to be a cheap undertaking, and whilst the profit margin may appear healthy, once all the costs have been taken into account, I doubt it'll be a massive money spinner for them.

I look forward to seeing a finished car with 18" wheels (even if it means shrinking the front brake disc size) and the final iteration of the interior.

Last time i will comment on your posts, out of respect for the mods request.

I did not take an exception to your post, I mentioned your behaviour and your post content after you posted a string of rather unfair comments where you got the wrong end of the stick and decided to attack my posts as though they were aggressive, angry and aimed at you. I have no idea why you chose to do that, it wasn't warranted based on anything I posted. It's why i asked you to read again what was posted.

I'm sorry to read the issues you've had recently, no one should have to deal with that.

That's just plain old bad luck, I can understand why you wouldn't necessarily want to revisit it based on recent events.

Yes, 18s would work better for me too smile

Off topic,

Firstly, that’s awful, I’d be getting myself a large, angry dog for the house.

Secondly, I don’t mean to be morbid, what happened to the 22b? Stolen to order or random scum thinking it was just another Impreza? Did it ever appear again?

My house got turned over about 15 years ago while I nipped out for 30 minutes, it still affects me to this day as it was a personal attack and the perpetrators were never found.

Sorry if I’m being insensitive.

Presumably stolen to order like my dads was in 2003. Police never went to look for it and it never turned up again, right up until I found it rung in a scrapyard in 2018. Same spec, same Prodrive pack, same everything bar it now being a V reg instead of a T reg.
