Differences in panel behind dash and in front of windscreen

The only part of the interior which grates (or, rather, rattles) is the cheaply made crappy plastic panel that covers the space between the top of the dash and the windscreen- I’ve stopped the rattle with a bit neoprene wedged between that panel and the ‘screen.


A friend at FOS has sent a photo of the latest limited edition and it looks as though there might be different materials used for the black plastic on the PE - I’m not talking about the alcantara that this car has on the dash.

Ohh! I have a rattle, maybe it's that part? I'd be curious if there's an update to it as well. Has anyone tried covering theirs with alcantara/flocking it to make it look a little nicer anyway?
