If it’s in homage to the Impreza rally cars of the time, shouldn’t it be a manual?
I Assume flappy paddles didn’t get introduced into WRC until a much later time period than this car represents.

All sold out is a common sales tactic at this end of the market. I’d be surprised if 25 people have deposited and signed a contract…
Totally agree, this is just marketing BS. They will never make or sell 25 of these. A Polestar 2 is quicker, far superior tech, and £450000 cheaper.Howard1650 said:

That’s hardly the point though is it.

It just makes me think of the growing wealth inequality in the UK.
Do we know that most/all of the 25 cars have been ordered in this country? The quick Scoobie is pretty popular around the world, saw quite a few in Japan when I lived there 20 years ago, and in Australia it got to the point that police forces were banned from chasing them because they kept crashing their cop cars trying to keep up. So maybe more of a global issue...

Welcome to capitalism. I say this as someone who is the offspring of poor immigrants and who grew up poorer than most on here will ever fathom. Whilst I might not wish to own one personally, I applaud anyone who bought these cars from Prodrive as it's keeping people in the UK with jobs allowing them to feed their families.

I don’t have that kind of money! But if you read the article and think about what they are doing and have still to do, imo, it’s a bargain. I get the Singer comments too - I think they are also very high want. Retro stuff - ready for the 2020’s and beyond, when all we (mostly) seem to see is white goods, legislation driven transport solutions - with iPads on the dash? Yeah, half a mill, it’s proper money, but what price would be needed for bespoke, ‘real’ pistonhead fodder? In a short time - these will swop hands for 750, then approaching a mill. Great stuff prodrive.
Nearly 550k with vat. A bargain. Have a bloody word with thesen ffs!petrolheads2021 said:
Definitely a bubble as with lots of things today like property which is insane in places. It will crash and bite hard!
Interesting comment and I think almost certainly not in this case. Vehicles like this will be in collections that belong to life long, super wealthy, absolutely resolute petrolheads. These people make sure they are not affected to an important degree by external influences such as market forces and you will not be seeing these vehicles in any “fire sale” any time soon. It is about as disconnected from overheated property as it is possible to get.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
