We would like to hide the door to our new downstairs Cloakroom buy using 6 panel doors as the wall that will be the side of that room and to conceal a cupboard for coats.

The doors need to butt up against each other and we will use push-push catches to open.

Question is, what are the best hinges to use on such doors, I'm thinking kitchen ones will not work as the doors will be too thick to allow clearance and also pretty heavy.

Has anyone done this and has a link to what we need?

Other ideas on what to use instead of a ready made door also welcome.

Is that one door with six panels, or six doors? If the latter it's a bloody big cloakroom!

So you don't want to see the hinge barrel? Have a look at 'Soss' hinges.

It will be 4 six-panel doors for Cloak and cupboard.
Looked at the SOSS hinges but they work out more that the doors!
Anything cheaper?
Thanks

Something which attaches to the top and bottom of the door, like this?

We've just done a hidden door and used Soss - expensive but nicely engineered.

I was thinking I would need four pairs for the doors when in fact two will be fixed and I will only need two pairs so no so bad, also found similar hinges alot cheaper than the ones I looked at first.
Camoradi, How do you fit those pivots when you have a fixed frame and floor below, do they spring in?

presumably kitchen cupboard style hinges from the likes of Blum etc would do the job nicely?

They're not rated to carry that much weight.

How big/heavy are the doors?

Never fitted any but some type of concealed hinge as below?

I used some a few years back and the top pin was spring loaded so the door could be inserted into the gap by pressing the pin up into the frame
