Been reading up on this modification to the 1.8T and there are lots of people on both sides of the setup. Has anyone hear ran a 1.8T without the N249? Any issues? I understand the early 1.8T (AGU) didn't have one from the factory.

I'd primarily like to remove it for less potential boost leaks and a simpler/tidier engine bay. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I ran two of these, one with the bypass, one without, cant say it made a difference either way.
