It's a Renault Wind!! I don't dislike it, on the premise that it is no more visually offensive than the car it is based on.
I do also like Evoque and T-roc convertibles so my opinions exist in a lonely furrow in the far corner of an empty field...

That's a tad unfair I quite like the Wind in that it is small and at least different. This on the other hand is...

..excuse me I must...

Yeah, the Renault wind is what it is and I'm sure no one would buy a Cayenne convertible to look good In. Another design WTF, definitely the Ssangyong Rodious, and the Suzuki XC90 and the Pontiac Aztek. smile

It’s prettier than the front end of the new M3/4 to be fair to it.

For years, we’ve heard on PH and elsewhere that it’s only by building SUVs that Porsche can finance development of tye GT4/3/2. I’d sooner they kill the GTx cars If it means they will stop coming up with stuff like this.

Assuming the roof folds rather than being removed by two giants, where does it go?

Also, wow. What the hell were they smoking?
Do you think that this was malicious compliance from the design team?

You can see why they only made one (fortunately) though maybe one was one too many ...

I think it's great. I wish they'd actually done it 20 years ago, because by now they'd be in my price range.

No they wouldn't have been. No one would have bought them back then and they'd be rarities so nowadays in the current Porsche climate they'd be selling close to original price as the "rare and one of a kind never to be repeated, convertible Porsche SUV".

Also didn't Rinspeed make a few two door Cayennes back when they came out? Was something really crazy looking.

Pity they didn’t build it, could have killed off the whole SUV thing at one foul swoop biggrin
