RE: Lamborghini Urus | PH Used Buying Guide
Discussion
I quite like it in a ridiculous ott kind of way, would I buy one even if I could afford one?, no probably not but I understand why people do.
Out of the cars mentioned in the article I’d go for the Cayenne Turbo but being honest I’d rather have a regular standard diesel or phev new Range Rover to waft along in at a more sedate pace and more comfort!.

Be interesting to see what the used market is for these hyper SUVs in 10 years.
Market is being flooded with all brands.
New buyers seem to love them.
Having the latest and greatest is important.
But will used buyers want the running costs later?
I’m trying to think who exactly would want a 10 year old Urus complete with bumper scuffs, 100k miles, petrol at some unholy £/Ltr and all the consumables ready for a refresh.
A 10 year old BMW X5 diesel.. yeah I understand who wants to buy it and can afford to run it.
But a Urus? Bentayga? Cullinan? Ferrari whatever it’s called?
Whoever can comfortably afford to run it, can probably afford and wants a new one.
And whoever wants to lavish their life savings on a cherishing an older legend, would they really want an SUV shaped one?
Interesting times ahead that’s for sure. Not that it matters to anyone now
Interesting point about the older used market. There’s plenty of four-figure Cayennes and a few Range Rovers in the classifieds, joining old S-Classes and 7-Series as cars that have depreciated 90% because of the cost of keeping them serviceable, and the chance of a random failure that comes with a ruinous bill. Maybe PH 2030’s Brave Pill column will feature a £15k, high-mileage 2018 Urus.

Lambos f*king intense , If you’re broke leave it alone, cost you like 10 for a couple of dents.
That was true -
When a white van man clipped my previous urus (wheel , front bumper ) minor damage - 17k for the repair (from lambo on his insurance ) ouch.
