I presume it means that Aston Martin now submit their travel expenses using the same system as Mercedes in addition to their engines.
Other comments amusing....that needed some thought! Been years since used Concur...
It was a pretty awful system - is it still going? Good joke though!

Aren't DB-series Astons meant to be a relaxed, loping GTs? Not sure what Bürgurgking testing could feasibly add, apart from maybe drawing a few spy shots so it can get into these kinds of articles.

I watched a group test on YT with the Roma and the DB11 last week - can't remember whose - and it was "the Roma is so much better as a sports car, but it's also as good or better than a DB11 as a GT". In 2018, AM sold just over 1000 DB11s in Europe. In 2021, they sold a bit over 300, but Ferrari sold over 1000 Romas. You're right that the DB has to be an excellent GT, but it can't afford to just be a great GT anymore.

Front end change to more traditional bumber layout is probably much cheaper to fix in case of accident damage.

Aston has some hope if they manage to keep price really low, get latest MB electronics and can make large change to interior design. If its just same old what they have done for years they are done. If so, next round is total MB takeover and badge enginered AMG's.

here's a thought for redesigned interior: return to buttons and just have a screen to mirror apple / android. Job done in terms of tech.

Don't bother with any ancient Merc system. I'm sure most people never bother with the car nav and just use goole maps / Waze etc.

and get rid of all the trapezoid vent design, or whatever that naff shape is.

A number have already apparently seen it at Gaydon uncovered.

The loss of the clamshell for some will be sad, but having seen so many with damage to the front end needing a new bonnet if damaged you might be grateful of the slightly annoying shut line.

The other big news that no PH picture shows is that the prototypes are wearing Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres...not a regular 5, so Michelin should be releasing that soon.

I love the DB11, I just don't need a car that size anymore and the Vantage is fine for us.

I think the Roma is selling mainly on badge, it definitely has some interesting angles that I question. Also parts of the interior do seem awkward.

Was never a fan of the DB11. Always felt that the styling was lacklure compared to the DBS Superleggera.
Loss of the clamshell will be a loss to some, but just hope the interior design reflects the sticker price and not some timid afterthought.

Nice of the owner of the company telling the media that the brand new Aston you've just bought yourself is a bit crap....I'm sure it'll do wonders for the residual values as well.

I think there's a point where there are so few people in the "just bought one" category to offend, that it's worth a punt.

As for massive depreciation, some of us lowly types depend on it. Good to see Mr S has our backs. smile

That was McLarens former approach.
