A list of things:

Why wouldn't this be exciting? Just look at it!

A V12! Nice!

So they'll get something like 15 years out of this model?

Finally a dual clutch!

Still seems too German. Just buy a Porsche.

You'll get a good deal and the financing can't be beat: Lambo!

It may not be quite as good looking as the Murcielago and the Aventador, but they are exceptional. What a car this is! They have made something with a new 6.5 litre engine which isn’t related to its predecessor,s have made a shape which if not exactly beautiful is hardly ugly - the Star Wars rocket boosters are extremely amusing - and it’s an all new V12 in 2023! This is nothing but good news. Bravo, Lamborghini (pun intended).

Exactly what i was hoping they wouldnt do with the styling is exactly what they have gone ahead and done, they have taken a slightly redesigned Av front half and reversed it in to the rear half of a Hurucan. God that is pretty awful , especially from the rear . Yikes. Much prefer my old 6.2..
That’s very nice .

Now THAT is a Megacar! Good to see Lambo still have the balls in their design department.
I have to agree. I expected to like it a lot less than I do. The Aventador in a tasteful specification which is admittedly at best 50% of them is a genuinely good looking car. The Revuelto is much closer to it in terms of good looks than I was expecting, and the rocket thruster exhausts, good for you Lamborghini. It’s very cool.

So it's a Hybrid Aventador, with Sian-y styling for £400k+ options, so £450k+

Quite surprised by the relative lack of posts. A new top of the range Lamborghini comes around every 10 years or so, so this should be a major event and yet...

Can't help feeling that these hypercars have evolved past being relevant anymore to anyone other than those wanting to pose. They're too fast to be driven in anger on the road so are becoming irrelevant. I would actually prefer to own something like an Emira - it would just be more fun to drive.
I think this has nailed it...today a supercar or a hypercar is really just for the theatre...and there's nothing wrong with that.

In the '60's & '70's a supercar was tangibly significantly quicker cross country than most other types of cars. Today we live in the era of the 200+ mph family estate and the 200 mph SUV - which despite their weight & thanks to modern electronic technology can even lap a track pretty quickly- albeit at significant expense to their tyres, brakes and suspension components.

I think the short electric-only range is essential to making supercars/hypercars more socially acceptable in allowing them to quietly start-up and vacate residential areas, especially at anti-social hours, without aggravating others.

In all honesty - I think Lamborghini has pushed the razor-edged / stealth fighter look about as far as it can go and a return to organic curves and integrated underfloor aerodynamics with less wings would be a refreshing turn.

To me it's difficult to argue with the curvaceous elegance of a 288GTO, 250 SWB or 275 GTB.

Perhaps the minimalist wedge of the original Coutach LP500 (without wings, intake ducts and wheel arch extensions) show car is where Lambo should have parked hard edged design.

I should also have mentioned...that I think the supercar's mythical status has also been dented by the massive uplift in their production numbers which has been driven by the availability of finance.

If you're of sufficient age to remember...how many Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Astons or Maseratis do you recall seeing in the '60's, '70's and early '80's?

They were as rare as hens' teeth and to see a Daytona, 365BB, Muira, Countach etc was quite an event.

Finally and more recently - "Influencers" on social media have also done nothing to improve the standing of supercars and the perception of their owners.

I think that they have deliberately designed it that way, so that Lego can make an accurate model of it wink
Er, I think the Lego model may have come first!

But anyway it’s a fantastic thing especially in orange, and I love the black wheels. Bravissimo.

I agree. The design is disappointing for me because it's predecessors from Miura onwards have all been absolutely iconic, very different and absolutely beautiful (even if they invariably get faster and worse looking through each model's life). This looks like a run out version of an Aventador rather than an all new model.

Really not feeling it. Also the lights remind me of a Kia wink

With the exception of the Miura those pictures do not make it look like they are drastically different tbh.

Imagine if a car manufacturer was able to achieve the holy grail of being able to please all of the people all of the time.
Come to think of it though...I wouldn't like that. tongue out

I'll just add a few bits , I'd be very interested to see what Frank Stephenson says about this .... Always held him in extremely high regard. Yes bells and whistles and scoops and wings are all well and good but what an opportunity to produce a swoopy curvey stunning design which harks back to days gone by .

I see McLaren some NSX and corvette, which overall looks a bit of a mess.

The path Lamborghini has gone down with styling lately really leaves me cold.

My fantasy supercar fund would not be heading in their direction. I also don’t really understand how the latest Lamborghini can leave me so uninterested in details of the performance. I just see something fast, but heavy and numb lacking in substance. But more than anything else, the way it looks, I actually think I’d be embarrassed to own one.

Anyone just bored with the huge power numbers? Where’s clever and lightweight and really engaging driving machines.

Better fire the Lamborghini designers and let you have a go.
There is the heavy comment again. This thing weighs less than a Mercedes C63 S Coupe and it has twice the power. Its a Lamborghini hypercar FFS, not a Lotus Elise. banghead
Embarrassed to own one...really? rolleyes
