...Ronin, a fairly mediocre 1998 Robert De Niro film that is otherwise pretty much forgotten except for the car chasing starring the aforementioned Audi.
Wash your filthy mouth out, it's one of the best 90s spy thrillers and has some of the best car chases in cinema history.Title was meant to say "Someone has to mention", damn my poor proof reading skills.

Any Capri - "used to carry a bag of sand in the boot"
Yeah, or many other building materials, concrete, paving slabs, etc. I had a few Capris, never did it myself, nor did anyone I know who had one, even when big numbers like 73 and 88 bhp were involved, they could though be a bit prone to wild oversteer, not sure 100 kilos of ballast would help much, other than a bit more weight over the rear to help traction, but when it did go, you had a 100 kilos hanging out behind the rear wheels which to my mind would make matters worse.J4CKO said:

Indeed - I had 3 of them working my way up to a 3.0 S ( with the tennis racquet recaros ) - test drove it in the snow 5 miles up the A41 sideways and and had to have it. sociopath said:
Any BMW mentioned on PH and apparently you have to mention if its an E46 or an E17 or whatever. No one else outside PH knows or cares
I always wondered why some get worked up about using model designation, it's not exactly complicated and most people who know about cars understand what an E46 is. Is funny the things people get their knickers in a twist about I was going to say E60 M5 someone has to mention rod bearings, but I don't want to upset any sociopaths.
Oh bugger, I said it anyway.
