Moral in one.
Gave up after guess 3 as to what may be the accepted answer.

Someone at Cardle really needs to sort out the format of the answers so as to be consistant with what's expected.

With the benefit of hindsight, I had another go to see what the shortest acceptable answer would be and it was Land Rover Series II.

I asked Google AI what the identification features of today's Cardle might be.
You might want to memorise this for next time we get one readit

Thanks very much for that even though I'll never remember it. The bit about headlights is interesting, as it contradicts Cardle's answer!

Here's today's car as quoted by Cardle though, if you look at son-of-Alf's notes above, that might not be correct.

Cardle was correct, sort of. It would have been a Series IIA if it had been a civilian one, but the military, being the military, liked to do things differently and called it a Rover 8 (or sometimes Mk8)

Monday’s car - make in five, but ultimately a fail

Make and model in 3, but not how Cardle wants.
