In two today. Big clue on the seat and probably wouldn't have got it without it
It's only a big clue if you would recognise the car from a small photo and know the make and model...which for a 90 year old car is unlikely for the majority.
I didn't recognise it from the small photo.

It literally gives the full name of the car on the leaflet in the car!

I've largely stopped doing cardle. Bored of cars from the same era, IMO it needs mixing up with more recent stuff, may be 80's to 2000's ?

This. But a three for me, my fat fingers managed to insert an extra "O" into the marque.

Make and model in one but forgot the additional identifier, so got it in two.
The answer is printed in full in pic.2.

Interestingly, it's the very picture from Wikipedia: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f2/1934_Wolseley_Hornet_Special_%2832993385688%29.jpg

The "unnecessary bit" is actually essential. Hornet "Specials" were a separate model, not just any old Hornet with a special body. Info from Wolseley Register web page.

Only got it for the same reasons as some others thanks to the second clue and a big screen.

I hadn't even noticed that on the second photo...I looked at the first and right away I knew I wasn't going to get it so just flicked through the rest.
I suppose Cardle has to provide these giveaway clues sometimes which saves some from coming up with obscure explanations for their success.
I mean come on...who can positively identify a 90 year old car. It would only ever be a minuscule minority or liars. laugh

Luckily, I'm on holiday with only a phone screen so the name isn't legible - it would have spoiled the fun!
Does that think with two fingertips on the image and parting them not enlarge the image? I only learnt that could be done by seeing an elderly uncle do it this year.

I am on a PC with a separate screen. I didn't need my glasses on and have had my eyes tested in the last month.

It's unfortunate there's a clue, but I'd have had no idea without the clue or another one. Interesting thing at the front of the car.

Something similar may have featured on a Shed and Buried TV programme repeat broadcast a couple of months ago.
No, I zoomed in as much as possible but it just wasn’t legible; once you know what it says, of course, it’s obvious!

It’s a 3 for me. Cardle is being rather naughty lately!
