When I first got interested in cars as a teenager in the 60's there was no internet (no s
t Sherlock) so libraries were our source of information. Luckily the William Brown and Technical Libraries in Liverpool were a fantastic source of information and I devoured everything they had on cars from the 1890s onwards. 'The Grand Prix Car' by Laurence Pomeroy probably spent more time with me than on the shelves. Being a subscriber to Motor Sport over the years (when it featured an extensive Vintage, Edwardian and Veteran section and wasn't just an advertorial for expensive wristwatches) probably helped.So I've been exposed to cars from all eras, even the current one, not just those in my (long) lifetime.
