In one under the new dumbed down cardle!

Yes you can answer with just the manufacturer, but 'm sure it used to be more specific on these too

Same, I bet Mike Brewer is frustrated today as it won't accept Mitsibushi

It doesn't accept right answer. It usually just accepts the manufacturer or model alone.

I rarely bother now, there is really no skill in it.

Surely there is the same skill that there has always been...you either recognise it or you don't.

Yup. There is no point trying to play a game that is not what the game is intended to be. Just play the game in your head as you skip through the crops. When you recognise the car then that is your score. Couldn't be easier and no more frustration.

As I've said before, Cardle is two games in one.
Game one (the 'fun' part): Guess the make & model.
Game two (the irritating part): Guess what pedantic / obscure / word-soup / wrong answer Cardle will accept.

As noted above, mosy of us regulars don't bother with part two anymore; the DBTA (Don't Bother Typing Answer) method.

Here's today's car, which son-of-alf tells us is actually an Evo 6. And, as Ron240 said, we have had this recently, in the week of Japanese cars in December, and it was even exactly the same photo, which explains why I got it right! (but without the number).

Wednesday’s car - make and model range in two, specific model in four (if I’d BTA’d, then I’d have realised the model was wrong at two and corrected my guess for the third crop, but hey ho)
