That and the saloon are quite a strikingly brave shape for a mainstream manufacturer to have gone for.
I never understood why the boot needed to have a lip instead of offering a flat load in bay like an Eclass estate. Maybe a structural issue.
I bet it’s had the nuts ragged off it for quite a few of those miles.
Service ‘not due until May’ - so pretty much due now and the owner wants shot (wisely) before he has to shell out for it.

Do you mean on this specific car?The article said it had been serviced, and another poster who may have owned it (or another CLS63) talks of new clutches.
It was a press car, and I imagine Chris Harris drove it enthusiastically from time to time, but press cars tend to get rigorously serviced.
