Just been running through my old vehicles and the MOT history for this one stuck out... it was a CBR600 I sold with a totally clean MOT and lots of service history. One year and three thousand miles later it failed on:
Nearside Front Footrest insecure (6.2.1a)
Offside Front Footrest insecure (6.2.1a)
Rear Brake fluid reservoir insecurely mounted (3.2.B1a)
Exhaust has part of the system missing (7.1.1a)
Rear Stop lamp affected by the operation of another lamp (1.3.2)
Rear position lamp adversely affected by the operation of another lamp (1.1.3b)
Rear Footrest missing (6.2.1a)
Front Roller brake test indicates a severely juddering brake (3.3.A1b)
With a long lit of advisories also:
Front Brake disc(s) has slight run out (3.2.A1m)
Front Roller brake test indicates slight fluctuation of brake effort (3.3.A1d)
Rear Roller brake test indicates slight fluctuation of brake effort (3.3.A1d)
Throttle cable locknut insecure.
Advise front wheel tight to turn.
Advise radiator insecure.
What on earth happened in that year - was it borrow by Mad Max?
Still, note that my lovely MX5 reg no H404PKW is still healthy and passing MOTs - I'd buy that car back if it was available...

I had a quick look for an old favourite of mine and felt a bit sad to se that it's SORN. MOT runs out next month. Probably falling to bits by now but it was my first brand new motor and I had a lot of fun in it. BMW 320d RE53 DCZ.
I had a fairly hefty prang in it so it's done well to survive so long I suppose!

My 2007 Fiat Panda 100hp - first new car, had it 5 years and 70 odd thousand miles, It was grey and had Italian stripes on it plus Abarth badges etc when I sold it.
Reg EJ07 BCV - annoyingly I can't find if it's alive or dead because the reg comes up as not found on the MOT check/history things, don't know if this means its scrapped or has been put on a private plate?

I'm trying to trace my old Peugeot 206 cc 1.6 hdi ----MT05 BHA
I owned the car for over 7 years and I loved him. He is grey and had a small Shaun the Sheep sticker on the back (drivers side) . According to DVLA website it has no tax or MOT .
I really hope he hasn't been scrapped , I sold him because the work that needed doing on him would of cost more than buying a new one .
I need him back in my life 😥

Has anyone on here ever been reunited with their old car?
Kind of. I sold my Vauxhall Sportshatch after it had been in my garage for a few years slowly rusting - I'd got another, and the chap said he'd restore it. He didn't, it passed to someone else and after a few years of sitting outside they asked me if I'd like it back, as they weren't going to get a chance to restore it and if left a few more years, it would be past doing. So I got it back, and it's almost finished, eight years later. Just searched for my old Citroen Saxo which caught fire in Derby 5 years ago spectacularly.
Good to see it's somehow been resurrected and cruising around somewhere. I left it with 49,000 miles on the clock aswell!
Edit: Chirst, they've put some miles on it!
Test date 30 December 2015
Expiry date 7 January 2017
Test Result Pass
Odometer reading 102,337 miles

Checked our old Lancer Ralliart, really liked that car, always worried it would be desirable to thieves. Untaxed since May, I assume it wasn't recovered
in happier news, my 159 is still going. I traded it in for the above Lancer at 80k as it needed about a grands work and the MOT tester said it was showing signs of a complete engine failure. It passed it's MOT in June with just one advisory on a tyre, now at 145k miles.

My old Jag S Type is still kicking around these parts. I'd like to get in touch with the owner as I still have the original radio head unit for it.
Only time I see it is on the M62 usually doing 80+.
Reg is: KW51BHV so if anyone around here knows who owns it give me a shout would like to meet up.

I've just had an email from the bloke who bought my 1991 MX-5 (well, Roadster) a couple of years ago, accompanied by a bunch of photos of him blasting round the Nurburgring in it
It's made me very happy that it's still going strong and being enjoyed (it had almost 130,000 miles on when I sold it).
I had it handling absolutely beautifully, and he's done a few well-considered mods that look like it might have been improved still.

Something very odd happened today, returning from the local shops and in the mirrors was approaching a Vauxhall Cavalier v6, rare sight nowadays. As it got closer the reg was very familiar, my dad owned this from new!!! Couldn't believe, what's wierd is we thought it was dead as it's been off the road for many years. And it appeared in the same small town may years later!!!
