Hi Albert,

A grand finale! Can't get in the 'Try this' topic either... (yes, I know why)

Klassiekerrally.nl is ready for a selection of your Spa pics with a short report in Dutch. Hopefully I can pick the best of the best in the next few days.

I was lucky enough to be there with Aston Engineering courtasy of Tom Alexander in 2005 (I designed his race car transporter), we took across 2 DB4 lightweights & 1 DB4 Zagato, must say it was an awsome 4 days, will go again next year under my own steam I think.

Thanks again Tom

My mate Bert is an artist and a carnutter. Which is a very good combination.

He'll sign up soon and will join me at the Fab Feb Meet

Here's his work . . . you've seen the pic on this blog.

Just you wait 'till I'm ready programming!

Klassiekerrally.nl will become the best and biggest (in that order) classic car site of the Netherlands.
(If it isn't that already with 15.000 visits a month...)

Not meaning to brag by the way... boxedin

Found this press release promoting the 2006 6 Hour race weekend. I guess the URL at the end will be updated for the '07 event.

SPA - OR IS THAT LITTLE BRITAIN?

Spa 6-Hours Historic Race Meeting
29 September - 1 October 2006

The Grand Prix circuit of Spa Francorchamps has long been a favourite with British competitors. Among the many events held at this evocative venue, which always welcomes teams from Britain, the historic Spa 6-Hours meeting is recognised as the jewel in this Ardennes track`s crown.

Such is the popularity of the 6-Hours meeting with British supporters, one could be forgiven for thinking that this event was an extension of the British race calendar! Some 85% of all competitors in the Spa 6-Hours are indeed British. With this fact in mind, the region wholeheartedly throws itself into welcoming this friendly invasion: hotels, restaurants, B&Bs and even the supermarkets show a willingness to make all British visitors to the Spa 6-Hours feel at home. Language barriers are non-existent, making exchanges all the easier.

Nor is this warm welcome for the British confined to the competitors; more and more historic race supporters are making the journey to see the Spa 6-Hours event.

With almost 700 superb historic cars on track over the weekend, no other meeting in the world can match the atmosphere of seeing such machinery take that awe-inspiring run down from La Source to Eau Rouge!

The very best historic racing, combined with great food, local beer and genial hospitality — all set among the stunning scenery of the Ardennes — makes for the best weekend in the historic racing calendar.

So make sure that you are not in the UK — come to Spa!

IMPORTANT FACTS
:: The circuit of Spa is only 300 kms (186 miles) from Calais.
:: The entry fee for spectators is just 10 Euro for the three days.
:: Children under 12 years old enter for free.
