Here you go Jon. Most of the links for results in HTML aren't working but they are all there as PDFs.

That No88 T70 would have beaten us for sure but it DNF'ed. Out of interest, if we'd have entered the World Sportscar Masters race (the one in which a T70 beat the 917K), we would have finished in the Top 10 based on lap times. I've outqualified a T70 in the wet at Spa and in a dry race Cheng has got the better of a Chevron B16 - and we were on street tyres!

We seem to have lost a bit of pace in the last couple of years. I've screwed the lap times down to 2:42 with the Cobra before and felt I had more to go. The new bus stop would only account for a couple of seconds so the rest must be down to age or something! Still, the track felt slow this year due to rain and 'historics oil' but I'd have liked to have seen better than 2:51. Back at Spa next week for the TVR MonSpa trackday. Looking forward to chucking a Cerbera around up there.
Cheers Phil - will enjoy checking the times - It must be a Beast to Drive (all Alloy block and heads?).

Presumed it was the Spa 6hrs Endurance one 16:00 - 22:00

Maybe I am being stupid.

Big Healey's: they grow on me.

A real pity GT Juniors don't stand a chance against the 2 litre Beemers.

They look a bit fragile and tiny, but with a big 8 in they're rather competitive

Compared with the current Cobra reps for the streets an original one looks more feminine . . .

. . . and even the brutal hardtops have a more refined touch. The sound amazing though!
If I'm right this is a small block hi-revving baby . . .

Some more E's. This were not the kind of panned shots I was looking for though, more soon

Good to see Hendo and Miller well up there.

Think that Healey is Dave Smithies.

The 100/6 and 3000 (except the Mk3) are amongst my favourite cars.
In standard guise not really fast, but the sound is so damn great!

Dink - Dave won the Thoroughbreds 3 years back class and overall. TR's then got their fingers out and the following year totally spanked them in every race - they gave up after that - pity we need more cars!

Thay are great cars but bit lorry like.

The engines in the two leading Morgans are, I suspect *cough*, some way beyond Tuscan RV8s of old. The Morgans are very light too.

Miller's TR7 V8 always goes well at Spa. Why don't you bring your TR out Jon? It's a fantastic meeting.

Likely 5.0 Tuscan Spec like Guilotines and on slick I think in Morgan Top class. My 4 has always been on the ragged edge (so highly tuned) to live with the 6's on the short tracks (no chance on longer tracks or longer races) even if it did it would need a definate rebuild afterwards. It is faster on the short tracks, but you almost have to overdrive it (like a MADMAN to beat them). Why I will look to sell it before next season - by far the fastest 4 cyclinder TR built(have to freshen engine - more for my list of things - well father in this case!). But the 6's have 30+ bhp more even though heavier they are faster on medium to high speed tracks. (mine pushing 235 in 820 kg Joes 260 - 280 in around 950kg.

But if the 6 (nearly finished) is up with Joe Henderson TR6 in the Sprint races next year (Thoroughbred which Steve W is running in) it is a definate possibility for SPA.

OK, that's sorted then Jon

Dink's Spa Classic Car Racing blog (8)

The 904 is one of the best looking Porkers ever.

Quite a contrast with this big grey box holding a massive 8 . . . thundering. Nice to see them on stands - changing brakes or whatever - next to a tiny Lotus in parts . . .

Classic . . . but no match for the T70's: both in looks, sound and performance.

Another Cobra hardtop, look at those big tires.

The closed paddock holding the CanAms and the classic F1's . . .

. . . and suddenly I stood eye to eye with this uber aura'd gorgeous :shiver:

And all of a sudden a GT40 is a comforting looking car.

Don't get fooled here hehe

My favourite brand, untill I stopped 6 years ago. It took me five shots to get this one at La Source . . . More of that later.

Fabulous Chevrons are circuit-animals. With those 2 litre Beemers in they are the flies around the big guys . . .

Enjoy, again.

Dink.

Brilliant pics

Assuming I was equipped with a suitable Elan or Europa, does anyone know roughly how much I would have to set aside to compete in a season of HSCC Classic Sports Car Championship?

The Gitanes one, what is it? A Lola?
Anyway... Love it!
Could've driven straight out of a 'Michel Vaillant' comicbook...

Yep me too, love the Chevron cars...sadly only a small piece of that blue Chevron, but it seems like most interesting cars ever made where there...hm...very nice, but I don't think "normal" public have a chance to walk in the pitbox?

Nope, but I just tried and got the press-permit for sunday . . . by just asking

No one of the guys that were send back by the officials believed me hehe I just asked ffs!

Gift of the gob I guess . . .

Healey-meister (Phil: JigSaw Nige right?). . . that was a nice 45 mins (a Tommy Cooperish moment in a relaxed way). I'll tell the story in a next episode.

I've done some more CanAms and historic F1's for tonights episode . . . Oh, they're so bloody gorgeous.
