What is this? And why did it cost £103k in 1992....

And just to make it easy, here's a rear view:

Feel free to add some more obscure motors...

I think the quad-pipes on the back giveaway why this thing was worth so much

A high powered MPV maybe?

Is it an 'aa1b' ?!

Erm, Audi lights on the rear, looks a little like one of those pontiac space shuttle things that you could get over here for a while... otherwise not a clue!

I don't think its a Renault. Looks like the badge is oval rather than diamond shaped

Good one, checking the picture properties. I tried that as well...

Good job I renamed to photos then... hehe

A couple of hints:

It was a production vehicle, not a prototype.

Also, £103k was the starting price, you could spec it to cost substantially more.

There appears to be no rear seats. I'm gonna guess it's some sports car with custom coachwork, but what I have no idea.

Looking carefull, im positive the glas and most above the waist line is an Espace, at least an extended one. Definite Renault roots...

Its got me this one, although as mentioned has quad pipes and appears to have a low stance, so carries some power I would guess...not especially low profile tyres although being 1992 would make a difference.

With exhausts like that it probably got a Ferrari engine in it or something along those lines? Ugly as Hell though mind.

Am I even on the correct page?

Oh yes, I see. Two pairs of rear seats facing each other.

The oval badge looks like it might be the Subaru badge.

It has a V8.

A little further research has suggested that this was initially a concept - but a limited number were produced and sold. One is for sale on the 'net right now.

But I don't imagine Subaru sell £103k cars.
