Sorry for the boring post!!

I need to remove my cerbera's rear window. Its bonded on. What is the best way to remove it?? ive heard that you can cut around the bond with a very sharp knife but this sounds very time consuming!!

thanks

Having helped a friend remove an AX front screen last weekend, I have to say the best way to remove it is to pay someone to do it for you.

The professionals use a very long flexible single bladed knife (about £10 from most decent auto factors) and a spray bottle full of washing up liquid.

Pass the blade through the rubber and use a sawing motion all around.

Be warned though, it's very easy to break the glass if you get it even slightly wrong!!

you've got 2 options;

or

Serious post, use a really sharp knife to cut the bonding and use the glass suction handles to pull it out but you're more likely than not to break it from the stress.

As above! You need a special tool to do it properly, the main diffucilty is actually re-setting it rather than the removal, everything needs to be surgically clean and the adhesive needs to be laid perfectly - most fitters use an electric gun to get a consistent bead.

Get someone to do it IMO

Then buy the special tool, something like this...

But not from Sealey because they're rubbish! hehe
