I'm only posting here to stop WilliamBY having the last word!

Not that I disagree with any of your postings, but I think that if you have any connection with Wiesmann you should say so.

I don't; but I wish I was a customer. I just don't have that amount of money.

Some absolutely stunning pictures there! Thanks for sharing, definitely a car on my wish list! Are wiesmann going to make the GT and roaster in RHD or are they only available in LHD?

This year they start with RHD wiesmann cars, also a new roadster with alu chassis like the GT already has, so a MF4 roadster, and all will be available in RHDdriving

As he said ...apart from the picture looking like an SMG box in LHD....maybe the forum will do a RHD soon ;-)

good find, but they say 1380kg as on the website, but normally that means with gasoline and a driver in Germany so maybe its 1280kg in NL and the UK...also they say 7-speed SMG but BMW M also have the new 7-speed DCG with double clutch, me thinks/hopes they bring that also on the Wiesmann GT MF5.

Would BMW buy Wiesmann hypothetically since they seem to work quite closely with each other? This isn't a rumour I've just made it up. Wiesmann would fit well into BMW's range. I know this sounds odd but I'd love to see the application of a diesel mild-hybrid in one of these cars with its low kerb weight it would go like stink and be fuel efficient (teaching that pointless Audi a trick or two).

Interesting idea, but cant see it as both companies are privately owned and although work together they dont currently compete.

Wiesmann have just opened the new factory that must have cost a fortune

Both companies although must work well together have their own way of doing things and guess if BMW wanted to could make their own car...and maybe call it an M1 !!!!

Who knows...but I suppose in these days of buy outs anything can happen...after all BMW bought Rover and Land Rover and the rumour is Porsche may bid to buy VW !!!
