The globe-logo on that TR4's bonnet. Shiny little bugger. I love that bump and the bonnet draped over the lights. A TR6 should have that.

A slight drizzle at 11 o'clock made lots of ragtops start closed. After lunch the sun was shining again. The posse convoyed back to a cold beer and bigband music.

My pick of the TR6-bunch: a hairychested sportscar? For a moment it's not . . .

This one most certainly is. Beefy twincam - note the double bubble - sounds sweet. Love the wheels.

After an uncomfortable but most enjoyeable passenger-ride in the SV we came back and found ourselves a packed field. Even more snappers for the Diablo! V12 attracts even a blind man. Thanx for the right mr. Kewly.

This is got to be one of the finest Yank rears of the 60s.

Here my nr. 3 70s Rari - after the Tona and the 365GTC/4 - the lovely Gandini designed 308GT4 . . . Although this is the 2 litre (Italian tax-system!) 208GT4 it is still a dohc V8. Great to see the resamblance with his Fiat X1/9 here.

Bertone didn't do much Ferrari's: check period Lambo's Silhouette and Urraco.

This is more familiar: stylingwise the 308 and 328 came from the original 246 Dino shape.

In this row Stevens' Esprit Turbo (in blue) is a matching car. Give me the Giugiaro any hour of the day though.
These cars are timeless. Period Lambo Jalpa is rare . . . Are they still around?

From Rari's V8 masterpieces to Auto Union 2-stroke is a huge step . . . hehe Looks a bit like a transistorradio yikes

More?

Well, why don't you pick a TR5 then. Best of both worlds wink

Dunno Wim, TR6 just has it.

Merry-go-round car's perfect for a summers day.

Whether they are shiny . . .

. . . or a bit ratty, 50s Brit sportscars appeal. This 100/4 has it all.

Another Merry-go-round car, but what is it? It's got to have the most simple dash ever.

Although this is pretty close as well. There is really, no need to add more bits. Apart from satnav and phone-kit maybe.

What the MGA, B and TR3, 4, 5, 6 are for the Brit cars is the 308/328 for Ferrari: a bit of a standard. The icon of a mid-engined sportscar.

285 kmh GT40 rep with 4.2 Audi V8 in. It's low! . . . and noisy.

Another German icon: 2.7 RS.

I'm not into 356 speedsters . . . but hey, they do look nice: luggage heating. wink

Nice row of Pork here.

Mazda 616: mid 70s they were a laugh but at the KR'07 they look perfectly in place.

I only know it has a two-stroke engine... Think it's East German, but not sure...

It's not a speedster, it's a convertible or 'Cabrio' as the Germans call it. The Speedster is lower, sleeker. The grey one is a Speedster, compare them...

Anorak Wim wink

Interiors:

Comfy and porny.

Hardcore with a 3-speed.

Woody and classy.

Nice Healey 100 detailing.

Yank hardcore Vette. Kewly's looking at a Merc vert.

A true '69 Cobra rep. Nice burbeling 302 in.

You gotta love this 1972 Matra 530 LX by Michelotti. Mid engine 1.7 L Taunus V4 ohv V4, 915 kgs and 73 hp. A tad under 1000 were build.

A bit faster mid-engined beauties line-up.

Another step up in speed: RWD 5.7 litre Diablo SV.

DutchBert's cosy gallery, more here.
The red painting is a Countach in progress.

Mothtime!

These little buggers keep fascinating.

They're so agile.

Enough sun = fast shutterspeed. This prop is made of wood wink

And here a metal one.

Period Bug sounds completely different and smells like an aircraft too.

Wiesmann roadster and Cobra boast the same concept and yet are so entirely different. The 289 for me.
Really great the two W'manns came over. Somewhere in November we'll visit the brandnew factory. Did you guys see the new V10?! It's there as well.

bow

THAT Countach.

THAT Espada.

It's definately the era they came from: mid 60s to mid 70s. The mechanics are feel-able. Those two and a Tona racer in my garage. That'll do . . .

Last bit monday eve.

Make that tuesday afternoon:

Near finished XK120 DHC cocooned and restau-project XK140 DHC MC: they're trucks with their bodies of! Both have the mighty 3.4 straight six.

XK140 DHC MC has the more powerfull C-type head.

Of all 50s Jags the XK120 (1948-1954) is my fav. OK, XKSS . . .

Never mind the color, this imaculate fixed head turns heads.

Dangerous curves. Closed wheels!

Going all arty farty here.

Big '64 Volvo 544 Duett stationwagon. Production of the PV444 and PV544 series ran from 1947 to 1965. The 1.8 is a killer engine.

Galaxie Sunliner rear. Made to carry birds.

Can someone please tell me what this is?

The end of the show: ready to go Countach.

Gandini's nice work can't be beaten. As can the V12 . . . All Yank beef and Italian howl in here.

Next Klassiekerrally-event: probably a 2008 spring run.

scratchchin

I'm thinking of organising a May thingy in the Belgium Ardens. Hooning around, Spa trackday, eat 'n drink, have some fun. It could well be a combination with the KR-Springrun for starters. Max 4 days . . .

Spa to come!

What a nice and funny buggy you have. Bug boxer 4 in? I was a huge Ruska fan.

Dink hi
The Scimitar is the Coupe it was made in the 60's until they did the SE5 estate.
It would have had a straight six from the Ford Zodiac/zephyr originally if it's got a V6 it is probably a retro fitted essex.
The original straight 6 ran on 3 SU carbs I think.

Spring Run through 'De Betuwe'? I have a nice and simple route through some old villages and along 'De Linge', ready to be copied, or spread as a pdf?
