Pity (if I do SPA, and I will be if car (6) get through the rest of the season before we have to enter) we could not both do the 1 hour in the 6 and the Healey (on 32/48's) as I think it would be VERY Close. Joes car has got more power than ours but is heavier, but we have overdrive and a 4.3;)
Not sure the 6 will quite have enough tankage to do it in one go (12 gall ATL), so to make it fair I am hoping the are going to say there is a mandatory driver change and time in the pits (to allow some fuel to be added to the cars that need a splash (other wise these cars are being penalised unfairly - if they are doing the same lap times and racing each other on the track but have a not quite enough tankage).
I can really woffle when I get onto TR's!!!!!!!!!!
The one hour, two driver races generally don't allow refueling, only driver changes. There is no such thing as unfairly penalised, if you want to compete in the same race with the same rules, put a larger capacity tank in the car if it's not big enough, then see how quick you are carrying that extra weight.

Hopefully this will get changed;) then we can put say 7 galons in for each driver or fill it up for the first and just pop a few in for the second guy to get to the end at the change.
Yep it is unfair if it is just a few gallons. 1 Gallon weighing about 4kg so 2 is not going to make much difference - but if we do not have it we would loose out - if we put it in while the driver has to be out of the car I'd gues we would loose about a minute on top of the driver change.
One hour races don't allow refueling though, so you don't have that option.
You don't have to rip the tank out, just fit an auxiliary tank with a lift pump to dump the extra fuel into the main tank mid race. I recon you are just making excuses so you don't get your arse kicked in a straight fight.

hahaha - I'll check into this, go the guy going out first will have a bloody heavy car vs the guy going out second. You don't have to rip the tank out, just fit an auxiliary tank with a lift pump to dump the extra fuel into the main tank mid race. It hardly a straight fight as is an anything goes race - you just races whoever is around you. All I wanted to know is if you can top the car up, if you can't then something like this will have to be done - will be close on fuel so only need a 1 or 2 gallon auxiliary tank.
Cheers
Jelly;)

Stick the fattest driver in last and you'll be about even. Or do it on my own!

It depends which one hour race you are doing, we refuelled last year although it turns out we didn't need to.You don't have to rip the tank out, just fit an auxiliary tank with a lift pump to dump the extra fuel into the main tank mid race. Big Healeys are great fun to watch. Period 911's look odd hassling through La Source. The Healeys look like they are made for the job . . .

Speaking of which: Deano introduced me to Blurbbooks a few months ago. Excellent way to make a photobook, portfolio or whatever. Try or buy
