A8s COVER LESS MILEAGE THAN STATED...
The tyres on these 20" alloys are so big around the outside that one revolution of these wheels covers as much distance as TWO revolutions of the wheels of a car with tyres of half the circumference such as a Chevrolet Matiz perhaps, so I think manufacturers should state the number of wheel revolutions covered instead of the mileage. If they did, this car would only have done the equivalent of 35,000 miles on an appropriately smaller car.
As I said, he talks total nonsense and don't even get me started on how a 4.2 V8 with a fruity exhaust is a soundalike for the 5.2 V10! rofl
Seriously, what planet is this seller on?!! nuts
I didn't realise my boss had an A8.

does anyone know anyone who has taken a punt on one of these? They do come up quite regularly now at that sort of price, and lower... how ruinous can it be?
The missus and I did a little over a year ago. Ours was a a bit more than that one, lower miles but not far away on either count. It's more hers than mine but I've just spent a few days with it down in north Wales and after being very impressed with it (never driven anything that empties lane 3 more quickly, you feel like a god driving it and women absolutely love them) but not really loving it before I really really "get" it now.

On those roads a nearly two tonne, massive saloon really shouldn't work but it was such a hoot. It really shrinks around you and with a boot full of luggage, two up plus the dog in the back (this always amazes people but it is a car at the end of the day) I was able to travel more quickly than I can on the same roads in my exige before I got some warning messages from the passenger seat. All this while havi ones bum massaged and warmed nicely by the seat as the world rushes by the other side of the double glazing.

Ours has cost us about £3k this year to service and maintain. That included a service and a new clutch but I'd budgeted for the clutch swap in what we paid for it so that was no biggie. On the duoselect cars the only real weakness is the clutch and the driving of it isn't the lurching nightmare in auto road that some road tests would have you believe.

Ours is just off to have some paint done to deal with stone chips and refurb the wheels, madly looking forward to spending money on it.

Across in the US just now and had a quick browse at the price of corvettes, seems you can pick up an 07/08 plate with around 30k miles for around £20k. Seems good value how much would it cost to import one of these back to the UK?

Probably the wrong thread to ask the question, but consid VAT as well as shipping in your equation if I remember rightly.

Reasonably priced too, compared to the £25k these tend to pop up for.

I wonder if you'll have to lose the Interpol 'wanted' tag on that number plate and get it registered in the UK yourself?
