I know but couldn't resist having had to time to scan round the site again, and found this thread. Didn't mention I was stopped by the local constabularly in my sisters MG Metro when I stopped at a Jtn(first and only time at 18 whilst my parents drove past not realising it was me!!) and raced a MG Metro 2 years ago.

Its an age think memories come in fits and starts......!

roll back the times i too owned a y reg mg metro silver with the sporty red and black interior and the trusty manual choke which was contolled by a clothes peg.excellent little cars but used to eat diffs i ended up blowing the engine up and replacing it with a 1.3 hle engine and selling it would defo have another 1 just for the memories
