RE: PHers To Get Up To 15% Insurance Discount With Flux
Discussion
I too have received a request for documents I have already sent. The worrying thing is it says to ignore the email if I have sent them, but if they aren't sent my policy will be cancelled.
I sent them on the 15th August, but I'm pretty sure if I ignore the email and don't resend them my policy will be cancelled. Or are these request sent out to everyone? Either way it isn't ideal.

If you want to pm me your details I will double check that we have your details. It may have just been something like we sent the letter reminding you that we needed your documents one morning then actually received them from you later on or the next day.
Thanks
Ash

I phoned them up yesterday, and managed to get insurance sorted (over the phone, from Afghanistan) for an 81 Rover SD1 that I've bought over ebay.. and that will be waiting for me when I get home in a few weeks.
They don't appear to be the cheapest, at £170 for the SD1 vs the £220 that I'm paying for an E-type. Am currently with Heritage for my E-type and 64 Rover 2000, but they don't call back, don't answer emails and are generally bloody useless.
I need to do some research and find someone who will run a multi-car policy for next year.. but for now, thanks to Flux for doing this by phone and email, and also thanks to their Flux Babes website. Any chance of an introduction to the girls at some point?

Try Lancaster innsurance. Flux quoted me £900 for a Porsche 928GT, they were accepted at £277.. bit of a difference! Also got my Opel Monza 3.0l GSE with them.. £79 fully comp, agreed value £5k They don't appear to be the cheapest, at £170 for the SD1 vs the £220 that I'm paying for an E-type. This is something that we are starting to do in the next week or so. I'm not sure of the ins and outs of it at the moment but I'll post on here when I have more info.
Thanks

Hi there.
I'm about to change status, from living with parents and parking on the driveway, to owning a flat and parking in a private car parking space. Also going from an HA8 to an N9 postcode (both London).
I've heard you pay less for insurance if you own a home, so I'm hoping buying my first flat will bring my premium down. Also wondering if a parking space on a private estate is equivalent to a driveway (the space is outside my new place's ground floor window!), and how much worse my new postcode is than old. They're both 'high risk', as I understand, but I think the new one is slightly worse.
I'm a 26 year old working in publishing, with 4 years NCB.
Thanks!

Some companies do give discounts for home owners so that may help a little. However unfortunately in insurance terms N9 is a higher risk area than HA8 which may increase your premium. Also driveways are generally rated better than car parks.
Are you insured with us at the moment? If you would like to pm me some more information I can see how the changes will affect your policy.
Thanks
Ash
