RE: Ford Focus RS
Discussion
sorry i was editing my post to be a little less critical of your post.( i shouldnt have bothered).
but chav mobiles?
i take it this means anything that doesnt blend in to the daily drivel you see all day?
please feel free to check out my chav mobile past, i just wish you had put more of a past in your profile so all can see how boring it more than likely is. german, german, german i expect.

personal jibes? manhood? not sure what thats about.
all i was trying to say is that you obviously drive a boring car day in day out and you criticise something interesting for being showoff.
well i have seen an RS in the flesh with my own 2 eyes and can tell you it looks nothing short of stunning.
so an old lambo can look like that ok, but what if a new car replicates somewhat then its "chavvy"?
but i am curious now have you ever owned any car that is a bit of looker? or have they always been run of the mill runabout type cars?
would you never drive a car that looked a bit out of the ordinary?
whats wrong with having a nice car that attracts a bit of attention? the only thing i can think of is that such cars often attract vandals that will never be able to afford anything nice so like to make their mark on someone elses property.

I put it to members of the jury that if any from the Integrale, 3dr Cosworth, 190 Cosworth or E30 M3 were released today they would be branded by the majority as "chavvy".
Because they are now legendary cars they are somehow acceptable.
The new Focus will be exactly the same in time. It will come full circle and gain it's "status" and rightly so.
The issue is the over/misuse of the terms "chav" and "chavvy".

i was thinking about a new lamborghini, i imagine you would brand that as ott and not like it, whereas to me it is much better looking than an old lambo.and i agree if many modern classics including sierra cosworths, and the integrale or a modern interpretation of the integrale was released today it would be branded "chavvy".
they would say of the cosworth "ooh those plastic stick on arch mouldings, they do nothing, why have them?"
not all cars can or want to be understated, but if unsubtle modern cars are "chavvy" then welcome to the new millenium of "chav".

just trying to make my point! it seems as if alot of you guys can be very defensive when it comes to other peoples opinons and im just saying that i dont really care what anyone else thinks! as for insurance cost tho that might be a problem as i once tried for insurance on a escort cossy and got nowhere but i could get it on a lambo??? has any one had such problems with the focus?
