Right, this is inspired by a comment in another thread and will only be of interest to anoraks with too much time on their hands, like me wink

Pretty much all car makers have configurators on their websites now so you can spec up the car you want, so the challenge is this....

Who can spec up the most expensive but really-not-worth-the-money car?

The rules are simple, I decide the winner, unless someone can persuade me otherwise, and they must be 'normal' type cars, so no speccing up a CL65 AMG with loads of designo options hehe

Extra points for screen grabs of the finished item, I'll start the ball rolling.

A Peugeot 308 SW diesel auto for £24,670!

So,who can beat that? biggrin

Well done! Great idea and you beat me to it.

I shall be back on this later tonight and hopefully claim the prize!

ETA: In the other thread you refer to I had this: Audi A3 cabriolet £36,405. Screen shots to follow.

Extra points for the first person to forget their task bar at the bottom of the screen print and divulge incredibly embarrassing interweb habits. biggrin

I'm quite enjoying this - £31,675 for a Passat diesel auto estate?! OK, it has DVD nav, xenons, leather etc etc but still!

Just managed to spec a Merc B-Class up to £31,579. Nasty. Probably a nice car, but over £30K for something no bigger than a Golf?!

Great topic!

Has anyone actually ever paid near that for a 308? Astonishing sum of money for complete and utter blandness.

No idea! There aren't even that many options on it, unlike the Passat which has the price of a top spec VW Fox in options hehe

It's only an old fashioned 4 speed auto too, with terrible economy figures to boot.

Is it bad that I don't think that's horrendous value for a 260bhp V6 DSG-boxed, er, taxi? paperbag
