I can't remember if they had a bail out. If so, then these had better sell because I don't see why the government should prop up a company that produces products that are not selling given the economic downturn. If not, then ignore what I just said.
ETA: looks like it was a loan. Not sure about this government funding for a "green" Land Rover. That's just idiotic.

2. £27Mil from the government for LRX green technology is not idiotic, it is helping LR to create a more efficient and therefore more attractive vehicle to keep LR afloat and therefore keep 15,000 people in jobs. Not to mention keep all LR suppliers in business too. Fact is JLR is at the forefront of British auto technology and the government recognise this.
