The guy that owns that is called Harry Metcalfe @ EVO.

There is a video diary where he covered 1200 miles in 30 hours on YouTube. Well worth looking up of you like that car.

I must admit though, I am not a huge fan if that Lamborghini.

One main issue with this besides the petrol, umm you can't afford one leaving uni you daft fool! That is rather cheap though. Still trying to persuade mum into letting me drive hers, and she won't have it. That sound as it leaves the garage. Ahhhh cloud9

I leave in just over a week. I'm 22 in May 2013, saving starts here. If Aizle can have an e39 M5 the same year he leaves Uni, I can have an S4 a year later. One can hope....

This has been on sale for a while and has been reduced. Yes, I've been watching but still don't have the funds for this one. frown

£8950 to you, squire. Bearing in mind it's been sat on the forecourt for a while, possibly even less if you push. 71,000 miles with FSH. If there's no odd hidden stuff, this could be a steal for someone.

Sadly not me as I've got insufficient funds... bugger!

Seriously thinking about a new approach to my car buying .....

I'm not a fan of MX5's unless modified, however I do like the MK3 06-07 2.0 sport models in black with the Bose stereo.

All the cars I look at are really serious, drink fuel like its going out of fashion, cost alot to run and sometimes not very fun to drive.
This is why im thinking about the Mk3 MX5 2. 0 sport ....

Cheap in every aspect
Revvy 4 pot
RWD
LSD
Great stereo
Soft top
Looks great when lowered to get rid of the stilts look.

I am not a fan of MX5's full stop but i saw one of these the other day, think it is an anniversary model in Java Green (think it is called that) and it looked very smart.

Depending on how much you are looking to spend, i would try and get a nice S2000 instead.

Indeed they're lovely however very expensive for an MX5 an older 06 sport in black would do for 7ish grand.

The Mx5 is less than half the price to insure compared to an S2000 plus an S2000 is limited mileage whereas MX5 wouldn't be.

Think it's the way forward.

That's bloody lovely. The wheels really suit the red. Awesome.

Can anyone read/translate Japanese? How much is that for sale for?

If you use Google Chrome the page can be translated.

11,503,000 Yen = £87K

There are a couple of delivery mile last of the line Type R models which are equivalent to around £140k.

I would probably have 4 NSX's if i won the Lotto, original Type R (3.0), Type S Zero (pre face lift 3.2), Facelift Type S (pictured) and a NSX-R face lift.

Not that I'm questioning your dream car, but what's so special about the NSX that everyone seems to love it? I just don't quite understand it: it's not exactly a looker (imo), it's not really that fast it doesn't exactly ooze class, and it's got a Honda badge on it. What's so special?

I think it is a stunner, so well proportioned. It is a car which you cant really put your finger on, you either understand the NSX or you dont, many think it is too expensive and it does not have enough power (capped to 276 but rumored it produces closer to 300) although the handling is apparently superb and makes up for the low power figure and finally because the fact it is a Honda and Honda do not make supercars. Vicki Butler Henderson said "the NSX is probably one of the greatest cars you have never lusted after". I think she is spot on with that statement. You have to look past the badge, eg; Nissan GTR, built by the same company who make the Micra and Pixo, enough people have bought GTR's at 50k a pop, be interesting to see now if the NSX was still on sale at 60k, would it sell better now than it did 10 years ago. Price was also a big factor with the NSX, for 60k, most people bought 911's yet the NSX probably had the build quality to match a 911. If the NSX had retailed at 45k, i think it would have been a much bigger success and Honda probably could have afforded to sell the NSX at 45k as the other models they manufactured sold in such high numbers it would not have mattered.

As for the new NSX, Honda can keep it, it will never have the status the original NSX's had.

I (just like you) never got the NSX, until someone like melvster explained why they like it.

Then I read into them more and I found out that Senna helped develop it (correct me if I am wrong) and it is supposed to make a good noise too!

IMO the styling that dates back to 1991 is looking a tad dated 21 years later, but apart from that, they are growing on me. smile

Senna helped develop the handling/chassis of the car. Noise, being a VTEC unit it does like to sing, after 5800 rpm the second cam shaft kicks in (VTEC kicked in yo hehe ) and the noise becomes a lot more intense, peak power is at around 6900 rpm.

Styling, the original NSX looks its age but in a good way IMO, yes you can tell it is a 90's car but it still looks cool today and has now become a future classic.

The NSX is probably one of the best drivers cars ever made, i am yet to read/watch a review on one where it suffers from a substantial flaw and it therefore not being as good as it should, the NSX used double wishbone suspension making it a great handling car.

It is a car you either understand or just think "60k for a Honda, you must be mad".

I already know how good a VTEC can sound in our Civic 1.7. It must sound much better in NSX. yes

It is a shame some people are badge snobs, they miss out on many great cars including this, VW Pheaton etc etc..
