For you aygo fans, BANZAI magazine bought their own and supercharged it along with some other tasty mods then gave it away in a competetion. IMO it looks like a brilliant bit of kit.
it is for sale on pistonheads too! http://pistonheads.com/sales/1430381.htm
Don't think it should be in 'boring stuff' though
Can someone explain "650cc fourth injector" to me please?it is for sale on pistonheads too! http://pistonheads.com/sales/1430381.htm

I'm also up for this idea of a 107 Rallye and agree that 100 bhp, closer ratios and a touch lighter should do it... They should keep the small wheels though, for limit-reaching and snow-defeating goodness.
Yep completely agree. Could easily use the 1.33 Toyota engine (same as the 1.0 it currently has but with an extra cylinder) which develops just over 100bhp and dosent weigh much. Uses a 6-speed gearbox in the Yaris and Auris. In a stripped out 107/ Aygo/ C1 could be great fun james_tigerwoods said:

I wouldn't mind trying an Aygo or 107 but as a Rallye owner i'm ashamed of the 207 S16 and the stickered up 107.
Hmm, load of tosh, but coming to a McD's car park near you V soon.
Anyway, who else went straight to the classifieds and looked at 306 S16s?
I did, surely these must be a hoot at these prices?

I love that little banzai as well. It must be great fun to drive.
Real shame peugeot are going down this route with their hatchbacks.
Considering they are still somewhat a fighting force at lemans, they dont really have any major presence in touring cars or WRC [in my opinion].
It would appear the 80's Motorsport breed is dying out with all this emissions regulations and heavyweight safety bullst.
I would really put money on a limited run of light weight 'hot hatches' without all the heavy gizmo's and airbags being hugely popular as long as the cars had enough grunt to give much more expensive cars a run for their money, especially in the twisties. After all, this is one of the main reasons we [us who do] buy/drive/own little hot hatches.
Renault seem to be doing a stirling job with the RenaultSport branding, as the cars are hugely popular and lets face it very well talked about [by that i mean lots of people know they arent exactly shy].
They even have their own multiple race series.

+1For about the same you can get a gti6, which i think was basically a S16 with a 6speed box, because the 5 cog box was a weak point. Still a lovely, Rare and significant vehicle tho, which has been fed over by pug ltd.
Looks like the Lion has stopped purring and no longer going from strength to strength.
Bit of a joke, I guess it would win hearts with those who love to do up the bodywork on the car, but cant afford higher insurance groups...but then I guess they wont be able to afford this car until around 5-8 years time.
At least they are not charging over the odds than the standard model that its based on.

+1 to that.
Well I don't really fancy trying an Aygo or 107 as I don't like the idea of driving around with my knees around my ears.
I do fancy trying to fit a 2 litre Civic Type R engine and box into a 207 though Might be my next project...
It's hard to understand why Peugeot can't get the 207 right. The engine is shared with the Mini, so we should be able to get the same engines and the 6speed gear boxes in the IMHO better looking Pug. I can only assume either that there was some agreement to prevent them from doing this or that it won't fit in the chassis?

Kind of reminds me of when Ford tarnished the Mexico name on the mk5 or 6 Escort.
I could not agree more.What has this;
Got to do with this;
When I said to my mate at Citroen, "what is the C4 Loeb like?" he said he would not even try to sell me one!
Another pile of poo..

Not like the quality inside is getting any better still got the fit and finish of a 70's Lada on interior trim and plastics with a surface finish like a dessicated elephants todger.
Which recent Peugeots are you referring to? The interior quality of the current range far outclasses pretty much all of its opponents IMHO.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
