I'm not sure if we've covered this bit but the Ferrari Daytona was a fake. (Based on a corvette I do believe) It certainly looked the part though.

Anyway, apparently it got up Enzo Ferrari's nose that a fake was being used so a US Ferrari dealer supplied two genuine Testarossa cars in return for not using the replica anymore.

The third, used for stunts, was indeed a fake. (expensive fake!!)

[Ahem..

He was guilty, he admitted it outside the prison
I know that, I was trying to avoid the dreaded spoiler! Damn you, you've spoiled it for EVERYBODY.

If you want me to spoil it more, crockett shoots him in cold blood at the end. wink
Ahem

He didn't.

Hackman had a pistol underneath his book.

Damn, how cool was Miami Vice! The day after the programme there was only ever 1 subject of conversation among the lads at school.
Yes, it was cool! Even in South Africa where it was dubbed into Afrikaans to become Misdaad in Miami.
I'm rubbish at languages but fortunately for me they also broadcast the original soundtrack on the radio. Made it a bit difficult to record...

"The original Testarossas donated by Ferrari North America were black, but the paint scheme on the cars made it difficult to appear in night shots. They all but disappeared in these particular shots. Thus the cars were repainted white so as to show up better".

I remember reading this bit, but if that was the case they why didn't they repaint the fake Daytona?

GTs? ALMS?

Those are classic IMSA race shots!!! The American version of Group C.

Lots of Porsche 962s and Marches (which is what the bad guy's car looks like) in the race scenes, although I only skipped through so there may be some other race greats in there too.

The quality's dreadful, but I think I spotted Derek Bell in there as a Lowenbrau Porsche driver (Maybe Danny Sullivan too? - EFA Just watched the episode Danny Sullivan was 'acting' as the suspect. To say acting though is to be very generous, his acting was only challenged by Tubbs' - I forgot how truly dreadful he was!)

They had to show that because otherwise the hero wouldn't be a hero! Crockett didn't know he was armed anyway, and I thought the inference was that Crockett planted the gun there...

Yeah thanks mate.

I'm now gonna have to track down a dusty old VHS from God knows where and watch the damn thing again. Or buy the DVD.

Thanks

LOL. Doubly sad because I nearly posted that clip yesterday. paperbag

Until I saw it, I had forgotten about the 635 convertible! Prefer the unchopped version though. When I say prefer, I mean start drooling uncontrollably like some Pavlovian experiment gone wrong.

RockStar really must do a Vice City II.
