UPDATE: Driver of lorry now contends that I was trying to get through a gap that wasn't there, and that he didn't actually move into my lane! !

Looks like this is going to be a long & drawn out affair after all - although my photos show the damage going from the rear of my wing to the front and pulling the paint protection film off in the process, so I can't see how he can interpret the directionality of the damage to support his story that I was the one moving forward to cause the impact.

I drew everyone a lovely little diagram, as to why you should use both lanes. If you need any more persuasion, then imagine there is a roundabout at the bottom of the diagram, or a crossroads that people are trying to turn out of. The longer queue because only one lane is used means that there are tailbacks in all these directions. Butterfly effect/dominos anyone?
