Dont know about you but when I'm bored I sometimes amuse myself with playing on car configurators - the Porsche one mostly seeing whats the most expensive/cheapest combo or seeing how much of a ste colour scheme I can make. So I've started this thread to discuss the best configurators and post up our own configured cars just to get a taste of what we would buy.

As well as the Porsche one the Bentley one is also pretty good but be warned it takes ages to choose something you'll be happy with

Have fun!!

Dont know if this is a re-post. Couldnt find anything in search

I used to spend ages on the Porsche one, love the Maser one, but since Windows Vista, I can't use the Porsche 3D one and the 2D one is crap. I'm running Safari 4.0.5 on both Windows Vista machines but it just won't load the images... Have a feeling it stopped working on the old XP machine, but still works on the XP Vaio laptop...

Lush. It would be a seriously hard decision between this or a DBS.

Just had a play around on the Aston 3D configurator - not that bad but can be a bit slow depending on connection speed.
Just remembered I have discs of the BMW Accersories and Performance configurators so I'll check them out as I havnt done for some time.

I've been playing around with these lately. I reckon Audi currently take the biscuit for pcensoreds take options.

£80k basic for an R8. Cruise control? Yes sir that will be £215...

I specced one up sensibly, i.e. left off carbon brakes, etc and still added £17k to the list price. I then had another go, stick everything on it, and added £31k...

£31k in options...

yikes

I could list some damn fine cars to buy for that.

The Mercedes UK site has the SLS AMG on with it's silly 8K paint job as an option! That or the Audi A8 one with the 23.5K leather/Alcantara package and the 6K stereo upgrade. I's hope it's worth it on a car that STARTS at more than 60K!

The Porsche configurator works in Internet Explorer and Firefox on Vista/7. You need to get the latest version of Adobe Shockwave to get it to work and have plenty of memory free!

I've just specced a Granturismo S - it looks exactly as i'd want it too - and it only came to 99k.

Now that is a bargain.
