Jeremy, can we have a few words of comparison 'twixt the GT3 and the Superlight?
Sorry - only just seen this. smile

They're very different beasts, though they do share something of a common ethos. Both are very visceral driving experiences, and demand real interaction to be driven. Neither offers any form of driver aids (save the GT3's ABS) and both have the capacity to bite the careless - just the way it should be. biggrin

Both deliver huge amounts of detailed feedback but the disparate layouts naturally mean the communication is different. The Porsche has an element of 911 'bobbing nose' and certainly demands the slow-in-fast-out cornering method, but offers up fantastic traction; sitting almost on the rear axle of the Caterham offers literal 'seat of the pants' feel to what's going on - immediate adjustability either through steering or application of the right foot.

The Caterham is the faster acceleration - superbike beating capability with 400 bhp/tonne - but the Porsche take over past 100mph. The GT3 is also very much less breezy - capable of trans-European touring whereas the Caterham leaves the driver somewhat shell-shocked after journeys of more than an hour or so.

I'm glad they are so different - complimentary if you like - but it is the Caterham that is the ultimate keeper - it really is that special an experience to drive it. smile
