I remember when Overfinch were an engineering firm. You could bolt all kinds of go faster goodies to your Range Rover and leave the bodywork completely standard.

Nowadays they just seem to sell plastic rubbish to glue onto your paint.

Decent car? Then get a 5 year old to choose the paint and make it look like a Christmas decoration
Small cock? - I'll put 22" wheels on my chav wagon and slather it in Hammerite

The Alpina D3 looks great (although I am biased yes) but the rest of them look a bit too Max Power for my tastes. Each to their own though of course...

I think they all have some positive qualities. Utimately they are based on particularly good standard cars (mostly) and whilst they are very different and quite likely less attractive on the outside I'd bet they'd still be immense fun from the one position that really matters - behind the wheel.

If somebody gave you a 1000bhp turd would you drive it? I know I would!

They all fascinate me, even though I agree that they are, most of them, awful. I would like to meet the people that own them. I wonder what proportion of these things are actually owned by the banks and have been repossessed in the last 2 years?

I read an old evo recently where they tested a Gemballa 911 turbo and a techart 911 turbo. Both of them were slower than the bog standard 911 turbo around the track, despite the massive power hikes and the suspension/wheel "improvements". One of them rubbed its tyres on the arches under cornering. That tells me what I need to know - all show. Do look good though.

Whats that?! Looks mean smile
Its a car that proves that not ALL Gemballa cars are nasty.

I like the white Mirage too getmecoat

i really like the Ferrari and 911 above, and whilst the Mirage isn't asthetically as nice as the standard car, you absolutely HAVE to get onto YouTube to hear it! cloud9

Gemballa Mirage GT - The paintscheme and exhausts make it look like a fairground bumper car.
Rinspeed Chopster - Is that red rim-tape?
Gemballa GT750 - The grill wouldn't look bad in gloss black but they chose funky-baby-poo-brown instead.
Lumma CLR500 - Not bad, quite like it.
Alpina D3 - Badges seem to have been purchased from the styling section in Halfords.
Overfinch Sport - No more ostentatious than the original car - The letters on the nose might as well say "Compensating For Small Penis" or for the women: "I Have Daddy Issues"
Brabus E-Class - The wheels look a bit odd but it's not bad looking.
Revere Vogue - This must be a photoshop mockery surely?
Kahn Sport - Ostentatious and brash, I suspect quite pricey too.
Brabus S-Class - Not bad looking, again the wheels seem out of place.
Revere Sport - The same as the previous except it appears to have two exhaust pipes this time - Must be a joke.
Matte Black M3 - Interesting, not sure what to think.
Gemballa GT550 - Very strange Peugeot 106gti style body kit on the side and odd looking stance thanks to the wheels.
Matte Black Arnage - The original car looks good but the matte black makes it look boring.
Matte White SLR - Hey, that looks very smart... Easily the nicest of the bunch.

I suppose the extrovert styling is the give the cars "Road Presence"?
Most of them look like the chavvy cars that park outside McDonalds, albeit with more money spent.
I like the feedback there!
I agree with you on the SLR definately. I do however like them all otherwise I wouldn't have taken pics haha!
From what I can tell majority of people do not like them like I do! Haha!

I cloud9 that BMW M3, in matte black it looks positivly hum-drum I had to double take to make sure it was an M3!
Yeah I like it too!
It looks subtle I suppose because it's de-badged... well as subtle as a matte black car can be!

I was pretty sure it was a genuine Alpina?
