I know personalised/vanity/private number plates cause arguments here all the time, but for those who are interested in them, what plates do you actually own?

I stole the thread idea from another forum and it is interesting how many plates are on retention rather than on cars!

To start then my plate is V15 BEN - had it 7 years now and no plans to sell any time soon!

So what do you have? smile

I have 138 YPB, which came on a car I bought 8 years ago, 253 KOA...which came from an Austin A30 about 15 years ago. I have R5 FXR on retention..which is sort of my initials, and reflects my job as a fixer (slang for orchestral contractor in the music business).....but never got round to putting it on. It was only £175 direct from DVLA.

I have TVS 998 om my old Citroen 2cv, which is an import, was given an age related plate as it's a 1960 car...but plate is non transferable.

Anyone remember the 'I Spy' books, from the 70's....there was a car numbers one

HOT 1 5IN - (HOT 1 SIN) Not for sale (unless anyone wants to offer REALLY crazy money!) It means more to me than it will to anyone else, so I guess it makes it priceless to me, especially as my car is going to be wearing it in a forthcoming British film...

KOI 6863 - Open to offers, as it came with the car, and I prefer eating fish than breeding them, so great for Koi enthusiasts / Resturaunt or Takeaway businesses. Valued £500 + censored

10JH - Saw it on a car in my local town, so left a note under the windscreen wiper asking if they'd like to sell it. They did!

S88 EGH came with the car, means nothing to anyone and will net me £350 when I come to sell it separately to the car!

V8 with most of my surname.

Which is apparently worth a few quid. Doubt I'll ever sell it though.
