Hi,
could I also have a copy of the original table please? My 07 reg (actual date of registration was 04/05/2007 so just withing the 4 years barrier) Golf 1.4 TSI GT has just developed the same problem after owning the car for only 3.5 weeks. Only 20K miles on clock and gutted. Don't see why I should contribute anything towards fixing this as obvoiusly VW have built cars with substandard parts.
Pretty glad I don't work for the dealer network if customers have this attitude.

Quick update: there is now a less expensive fix, the pressure regulating unit within the pump can now be ordered and replaced, retails around £130+vat but I believe its currently on factory b/o.

Thanks for the update. After only owning the car for 25 days surely you can't be surprised that I have "this attitiude". Who else buys a car and quietly sits back and allows main dealers to walk all over them when a major problem occurs so quickly? Especially when it is a known problem. Anyway glad it looks like a much simpler fix now.

ESP light remains on all the time

I should also add that the warning light alone could point towards a number of things, not exclusively the pump.

Always get the vehicle properly diagnosed by a decent indy or dealer.

Formatting is a little crappy. If anyone wants more info I'll be happy to try help.
Hi Riddler,

If you have a better formatted copy of this I would much appreciate it. Garage just did mini-service and MOT and failed because of ABS light. Have quoted me 1200 squid to get it fixed even though it has full service history with VW dealer and was bought from them. Only 6 years old. Going to try and appeal, if I can. Thanks in advance. John.
