BG junior is coming up to 16, he's not sure whether he wants a ped or not, he doesn't think they're cool, mainly because of all the tards screaming around making too much noise. I suggested a proper Piaggio/Vespa scooter, they're cool surely? but he reckons not, he will wait for a car at 17.

I suggested one of these, and got a very definite NO WAY!

Why the hell not? I would have had one at 16, a great canvas for some cool paint/graffiti/graphics too. It seats 2, and you're in a cabin out of the elements.

Oh well, sod him! hehe

I was considering buying one with a friend at 16! Hilariously uncool but perhaps cool for that reason.

Go on, buy one and force him to drive/ride(?) it biggrin

I'd love one of those now, and I'm 16 twice.

With that logic in mind, do you dress like Dwayne Dibbly?

Anyone who says they would have had that at 16 is a liar!

Are you sure the reason your lad doesn't want a ped is becuase it would muck up his hair?

That's what my lad said when he was 16 (now 19) - went on and on about getting one - then did 300 miles in a year ffs!

Total waste of money.

I read that title and was instantly worried. Oh and I wouldnt have been seen dead in that at 16 even with some graf down the sides! He would get absolutely ripped to bits by his mates too!!

Most 16 year olds on mopeds are a pain in the arse, and very dangerous

Hell yes! I'd have loved that. Whether it would have been a good idea given the amount of people you could fit in it and the lack of experience is another matter though.

I would LOVE one of those. Saw millions of the damn things in Sorrento, I'd never seen them before hehe There's one fairly local that seems to be a coffee shop type thing I've seen recently.

Think a Vespa would be cool.

IIRC if you have a moped when you're 16 some insurance companies recognise that you know about roads and your insurance for your car when you're 17 is a bit lower. + it would give him a year experience on the roads for his own safety when he gets into a caar.

There must be a market for something like that but which does not resemble an invalid carriage converted into an agricultural vehicle.

At 16 I would have taken that to school daily!!! Even though its only a 10 min walk! Its more the fact that you have greater freedom!

Wouldn't want to hit anything hard or be hit in one of those. Pretty cool though. Can you get a truckman type hard cover for the back? A nice comfy mattress and he would have his own little pulling wagon. Bet it's fun round the corners as well.

There's the panel van version.

Click on some of the other associated clips too, what the Italian kids do with them is amazing.
